Alright I finally got a bit of time to post here, no I wasn't sleeping all this while😆 just busy with Monday at work.
So first things first, I have no qualms admitting that I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for GK, I am a huge fan and he is my reason behind watching the show/being on the forum, else historicals/fantasy/mytho shows are not my thing.
When I first heard of GK being casted opposite Kritika in this show, I was honestly very happy and thought that finally GK has someone who is very similar to him in quite a few ways, not that his previous heroines were bad but KK always came across as a fun loving easy going girl and that is what I liked most about her always apart from being a good performer. So I was really looking forward to the show and their chemistry from the moment the promo aired and to my delight they were/are brilliant together!
While I watched only for the chemistry and GK, I got sucked into the story and was pleasantly surprised when I started enjoying the show as a whole. I always believe that the story is the main lead of any show and every character plays an important part in making it a success. I always like appreciating actors/characters other than the leads only coz they always get ignored between the big names, while they put in equal if not more efforts. Coming to making posts to appreciate the characters and actors, I feel the it should be done mostly in the ATs if they have one and the story/tracks is what should be talked about more on the forum to make it interesting and inviting. I do try and post as much as I can to keep it fun and active as well but I do miss the long analysis and discussion posts I've been a part of on other forums.
I don't mean to brag about my previous experiences on IF but fandom issues are a part and parcel of it and we haven't really had many *touchwood*. I really hope and wish that we come together leaving aside our favourites and discuss the show, criticism included, that is what will give the makers and actors an idea of how and where to steer the story depending on the interest. There is no point in fretting over why the trps are low, that is not in our hands but what is in our reach is to put across a clear message to the makers about what's being liked more.
I have never been a fan of twitter and I know things get really messy there so I refrain to keep my sanity but it does put you off when people wish bad for the show for personal reasons, that is so not done!.
Guess the post is already long winded and dont know if I've actually made any sense but I'd like to conclude with a wish to invite members to participate in discussions and not wait for others to post, fangirling is totally fine and encouraged but the gripping and thought provoking posts will do more good.
