Chapter 9 Khushi wants permission from Arnav!

"Khushi, Arnav has been so nice to you since you fell sick... Maybe it's good time for you to talk to him about your participation in the TV show... NK encouraged Khushi...

"Nani, I am scared of his mood swings. Why don't you tell him and then I will also talk with you and NK? Please I may not be able to pull off alone... Khushi requested Nani...

"Khushi, you have my permissions to do whatever you want and live your dreams... I would say it's time for you to talk your husband alone and ask him or rather inform him... I don't think it should be a problem... But I think you should talk to him alone... Nani insisted.

It was high time they acted as a couple and shared each other's views and likings directly without a mediator, Nani thought...

Khushi looked at NK with lots of hope... It was difficult for NK to say no and break her heart but it is needed...

"Khushi, Nani is right... You both need to be behaving like a normal couple with each other by now, isn't it? See you both were so comfortable with each other when you got sick... He even watched movies with you and you both managed to chat like friends during those days so how hard can it be? Trust me, talk to him directly NK also pushed her...

"I guess so... Let me try... Khushi smiled halfheartedly...

"Arnavji, I wanted to ask you something... Khushi decided to talk him after dinner...

"How was the Lucknow veg dum biryani I made today? Did you like it? Khushi did not want to directly ask him about Master Chef yet...

"It was fantastic Khushi. What is there to ask? You really cook well and these days you present the dishes pretty well as well. I can see you are absolutely into cooking Arnav replied still looking into his file...

"Yeah, Cooking is my passion. That's why I took food technology as my major and you know I was topper in my college Khushi told him excitedly...

"Yeah, great job... Arnav looked at her for few seconds when he realized she was so excited talking about her educational background...

"Arnavji, I wanted to ask you something Khushi said again this time planning to ask him about the show...

"Not now Khushi, I have a meeting in like 2 minutes with a foreign delegate and it will last long... Maybe tomorrow morning would be better... Just Arnav's phone rang. Aman has initiated the call and then conferenced Arnav too...

Khushi tried to stay awake but eventually fell asleep waiting for him...

"Arnavji, Remember I wanted to talk to you... Khushi tried to talk him at the breakfast table...

"Khushi oh my god, the noodles are so delicious and so is the sweet sheera (Indian sweet)... Oh Khushi, you are the best... NK was literally licking his fingers...

"Thanks NK, I really am glad that you loved it... I will try and make often now... Khushi replied casually.

Arnav was so hopping mad looking to see how Khushi and NK have built a mutual admiration society...

"Nani, I need to go to office... I am late... And before she could say anything he left...

"Oh god, what happened to Laad Governor? I need to be on the show in two days and I am yet to get the permission... This is not working... Maybe today evening for sure... Khushi promised herself.

"Arnavji, keep your bag... I want you to try something... Go freshen up first Khushi almost ordered him and took his laptop bag from his hands...

Arnav looked at her raising his eye brow but didn't say anything... He came back and saw her coming in with tray...

"Arnavji today I tried two new dishes... Broccoli crunch pops and Italian Potato Boat She made him sit.

"Khushi, what's so special? Both the dishes looks amazing and especially the presentation is extra ordinary... He complimented her openly.

"Then try it and tell me how it taste? Khushi was excited by his comments...

"Really delicious... Love the broccoli crunch more because I am healthy food fan but the spicy potatoes are equally yummy... He thoroughly enjoyed her cooking...

"I am glad you liked it Khushi gave him his coffee mug...

"Khushi still had no guts to directly ask him... Oh Devi Mayya, what if he gets angry? What if he says no? She kept debating herself in her mind...

"Khushi what is it? Arnav pulled her towards him holding her hand when she was about to leave the room...

"I mean what is on your mind? What do you want to ask me? Come on, tell me He insisted her to open up and speak freely.

"Who Arnavji... Arnavji actually She was fumbling badly...

"Khushi whatever it is, I am ok with it... But I have one condition... Arnav smirked at her...

"What condition? I don't get it... Khushi was even more confused... Does he know I am participating in Master Chef? Did her hear me talking and planning with NK and Nani? She has too many question in her mind...

"Don't even ask me what you want... I am ok with it if you start calling me Arnav from now on... No more Arnavji. It's a deal Arnav smirked at her...

"Are you sure? I mean Arnavji first at least listen to me... Khushi insisted...

"I can't hear Khushi... What did you call me? Arnav asked her smirking at her...

"I mean are you sure I can, can you hear me out first please... She tried bring his attention back to what she wanted to convey...

"Khushi, call me Arnav first and then I will talk to you... Arnav was stubborn too...

Oh my god this is getting way harder than I thought... What can I do now? She was still thinking and was blushing too...

"Khushi, I am waiting... He stared at her...

"Arnav, are you sure...? Khushi at last called him Arnav again... She blushed so hard.

"That's like my good girl... Now go ahead with what you wanted to do... You have my permission Arnav promised her pulling her little more towards him. She looked so gorgeous when she is shy and blushed like that, he was slowly losing his control...

"Arnav, thank you so much... She just turned around and ran out of the room...

"Why my heart always beats like crazy when he comes closer... Phew, he did give me permission. Let me inform Nani and NK... Khushi took a deep breath outside their room and ran again.

"Pagal but cute... Arnav smiled and working on his file...

"Looks like somebody got the permission to go on the TV show? NK could see her face was glowing...

"Yes, he said go ahead... He was busy so he could not hear the details but he said he is ok with whatever it is... I am so happy Khushi told them...

"We told you... I am happy that you informed him directly. He is your husband Khushi and see you can converse with him without worrying too much... Nani pulled her and they did a group hug...

"Now start you preparations. You have another round in two days. That too with Chef Rakesh. I heard he is too good... NK warned her to practice her dishes.

"And I am always available to eat whatever you cook! Khushi nodded smiling and walked towards the kitchen.
