Nice concept dear !!!! The world is for go getters not the ones who sit n cry...sometimes we need to show ppl where they are wrong because mistakes can happen from anyone...I am glad khushi is doing that instead of breaking all relations she is moulding them in stronger bonds...

I am super excited with all your comments and decided to focus on this story while putting "Master Chef" on back burner...
I won't disappoint you, I promise and will provide you daily updates...

Still sticking to my original plan of making it a short story but added few chapters... But this really means long updates which is better...

Chapter 4 - Shopping Disaster for who?

"Sorry, got late at college Di but give me 5 minutes and let's go..." It was already 6 pm when Khushi came back... Khushi came back wearing a beautiful cream and marron combination Anarakali dress that suited her pale complexion and her slim body...

"Khushi, you look so gorgeous..." Anjali couldn't help but appreciate naturally beautiful Khushi.

"Khushi, what would you recommend? Should I buy western formal or Indian formals?" Anjali was bit confused about her dressing choice for work... She did wear western in the past...

"What does she know about fashion? I mean she always wears only Indian clothes... Don't worry, I will come with you..." Sheetal gave a sarcastic smile to Khushi...

"Exposing yourself by wearing short dresses is not fashion Sheetal... Not very tasteful either. Anyways Di, go with the dresses that you feel confident with. Maybe use combination... Use few formals when you have foreign delegates and choose Indian dresses or saris for day to day wear... What did you wear when you went to office before?" Khushi asked casually ignoring Sheetal totally.

"I did wear western but I do feel most comfortable in saris these days..." Anjali admitted.

"Di, you are in India and that too in your own office. So feel free to wear what you want. And let me remind you, 70% of women wear saris in India so no big deal... We can buy few Anarkali dresses too after you try... I am sure you will look gorgeous..." Khushi encouraged Di...

"Jiji, are you coming? SJ and Karan were asking for you and are looking forward to meet you... By the way they want to congratulate you personally about the baby news..." Khushi asked Payal...

"Not today Khushi, I feel too tired and sleepy... I will take rest..." Payal politely refused.

"Maybe invite them all at home so they can meet our family as well" Payal suggested...

"That's a great idea... Why didn't I think about it before?" Khushi squealed in happiness.

"Di, you know what let me ping SJ, they are shopaholic and have capacity to reach any mall in Delhi as soon as they are invited for shopping. Trust me, it will be fun... In fact they helped me pick some latest trends for college including long skirts and few jeggings apart from my regular Indian dresses..." Khushi messaged SJ...

Akash and Arnav also returned from the office by then... They were pleasantly surprised to see their Di being so serious and wanting to jump in at work so seriously...

"Khushi, how do you know Karan Singhania? You never mentioned him before..." Anjali asked curiously. Karan was a very popular face on TV and a model...

"Di, SJ's dad used to work in a national bank in a senior managerial position... When we were in school 8th grade, their dad was transferred to Lucknow and they were in Lucknow for 5 years and we studied together and lived in the same neighborhood... I gave them the nickname SJ... SJs are also Singhania and Karan being their first cousin and older brother. Karan is born and brought up in Delhi but he used to visit them during vacations and we all got along really well..." Khushi explained.

"Then later on, uncle decided to settle in Delhi because his elder brother, Karan's dad insisted that family will be together. Karan treats SJ as real sisters because he does not have siblings so do SJs... They are very close knit family... SJ and I reconnected after I came to Delhi, via internet and emails... Now we are back as one group after being in the same college... Karan is always with his sisters so I also got connected with him..." Khushi concluded.

"Wow, nice... Always nice to have good friends around..." Di commented...

"Di, SJ will reach the mall directly. Let's go" Khushi was really excited to go shopping with her besties and Di.

"Di, I will drive you to the mall..." Arnav suddenly felt insecure and possessive about Khushi. He would rather be with her than Karan dropping them...

How much ever Khushi hated, Sheetal forcefully tagged along and was trying to get Aarav with her too...

"Sheetal, sit back with Di... Khushi will sit in the front with me... And why are you taking Aarav along? It's week days. Doesn't Aarav have any homework?" Arnav asked her in a typical ASR tone...

"Sheetal, you need to be more focused on Aarav... This is adults' time to go out for quick shopping that too little late in the evening. You should not encourage kids like that and they should follow their own routine" Anjali also felt Sheetal needed to grow up and be responsible adult as a mother of 8 years old.

"I told you mom, I have homework..." Aarav too was mad since he was enjoying his project work.

"Ok, go in. I will come back after shopping..." And she hopped in the car next to Anjali. Arnav, Khushi and Anjali all three did not like her behavior and ignored her...

As usual they got royal treatment at the shops with ASR accompanying them... They were shown exclusive collections be it saris, dresses or western formals...

"Khushi, look for dresses for yourself too. You are going to college and you will need trendy outfits for yourself too..." Arnav sat next to her close and pushed her to check few dresses... Khushi suddenly fell forward but Arnav held her by her waist...

They had an eye lock losing track of where they are... Sheetal was fuming while Anjali loved to see romantic side of her Chote... Anjali had to cough to bring them both back to the reality... SJs and Anjali laughed at their expense...

"Di, try these two dresses plus these saris and formals... We will wait outside the trial room" Khushi picked few trendy collections with the help of SJ for Di.

"ASR, they are busy. Let's go and check few shirts and shorts for Aarav!" Sheetal trying to grab Arnav's attention to her, wanted to take him away from others and shop with him alone... She tried to pull him with her by holding his hand...

Sheetal saw Arnav standing there focused in one direction... He was lost in Khushi talking to SJs animatedly and holding a beautiful maroon, red dress wanting to try it after Di...

"What the? No way... Let me see what Khushi is doing" Arnav walked towards SJ and Khushi... He had enough of Khushi always being busy, he somewhere felt she is ignoring him after their fight... He was equally tired of ignoring and staying away from Khushi...

"Gorgeous dress Khushi, try it. I am sure you will look your usual beautiful..." Arnav said. Khushi was surprised he walked over to her leaving Sheetal behind... She was feeling so jealous and wanted to strangle Sheetal for holding his hand and trying to take him somewhere...

"Oh you are here? I thought you were going with Sheetal somewhere?" Khushi couldn't help but show her anger...

"No Khushi, I was giving you girls' privacy but I am here with you. Go on and try this one as well..." Arnav handed her a long dress in midnight blue and white combination...

"Thanks" Khushi calmed down a bit seeing the western dress Arnav chose for her... It was an exquisite piece.

"Khushi, you look your usual in red dress because we see you daily in Indian attire but you look hot in the blue one... ASR has great choice..." SJ were pleasantly surprised to see Khushi and Arnav could not take his eyes off her...

"How is this dress ASR?" Sheetal as usual was clinging to Arnav...

Arnav was still lost in Khushi and could see her face crest fallen after hearing Sheetal...

"Arnavji, it's ok. We girls will figure it out... Not too sure about this dress." Khushi was finding hard to control her nerves watching Sheetal clinging to him and spoiling her mood... Though she was not showing her inner feeling and acted as if she didn't care...

"Are you kidding me Khushi?" Arnav completely ignored Sheetal and walked towards Khushi and held her both shoulders...

"You have no idea how amazing you are looking... We must buy both dresses and I have another dress and few accessories in mind. Come let me show you..." Arnav was checking her out 360 degree while his hands roaming on her bare shoulders and Khushi turned red blushing...

Anjali saw her brother with Khushi and their lovey dovey moment...

"Chote, you guys join us later in the food court... We will go ahead and order the food now... Don't worry, Mamiji is aware we are eating out today" Anjali winked at SJs to accompany her and forced Sheetal too...

Sheetal felt insulted that Arnav did not even bother to hear her or look at the dress she chose for herself...

"What does he find in that Khushi...? This behanji is turning out to be much more difficult and I underestimated her...Oh god!" She thought...

"Arnavji, I think I am good... Two dresses are enough" Khushi tried to stop Arnav shopping for her... Materialistic things never attracted her and she was still mad at his behavior...

"Not so soon Khushi, try these two... Go in or I am coming with you in trial room" He pushed Khushi and she has no choice...

"You look gorgeous in green... This shade is similar to the sari you wore for Akash's Sangeet ceremony so I knew it..." Arnav was sure but more satisfied seeing her in the green dress and gave her thumbs up...

"You still remember?" Khushi asked him surprised...

"It's about you Khushi, how can I ever forget? And then our dance... I can always close my eyes and feel you in my arms..." He mentioned casually... Khushi had shivers all over her body... They both are missing each other so much...

She tried one last peach dress and they both moved to counter...

"What is in those extra bags Arnavji?" Khushi asked curiously. Arnav had couple more bags in his hand...

"It's a surprise Khushi, Have patience..." He winked at her...

"Laad Governor" Khushi muttered and forgot completely she is still mad at him and needs to teach him a lesson... She is not supposed to give in easily this time...

"You always melt like a chocolate when he is romantic and forget the whole world... Be strong Khushi", her heart chided her...

"Wow so many bags, what did you buy Khushi?" Anjali asked teasing her.

"Nothing Di, just 4 dresses... And then Arnavji bought something, I don't know..." Khushi replied innocently...

"Oh Chote, I am sure it's for me..." Anjali purposely winked at him, teasing him and pulled the bag to see what it contains...

"Seriously Di, can't I buy something special for my wife and keep it a secret? Our family is sure crazy..." Arnav was irritated and stopped her from opening the bags...

"Oh I see. Great going Chote... Khushiji, I really like the night dress... Blood red, Chote's favorite color I guess on you! You have turned my Chote into a romantic puppy..." Anjali did hi-fi with Sia and Jia and they all laughed out loud...

Khushi was totally embarrassed and turned deepest shade of red... Arnav stayed casual, I don't care mode... But they both were happy to see Anjali in fun mood...

"Stop it Di, stop teasing now... And thanks for ordering pasta for me and chat for Khushi..." Arnav diverted everyone's attention to food...

"Sia and Jia, I will drop you on our way. So relax and enjoy the food" Arnav assured SJ when he saw them trying to reach out Karan... Khushi smiled at him, she liked him taking initiative...

Sheetal was ready to jump and die, rather than see Arnav doting over his wife and totally ignoring her...

Sheetal is very annoying. Khushi should device a plan to get rid of her.

Sheetal is failing miserably in all her plans. Khushi now has anjali's support and that is helping her confidence.

Love how everything is backfiring on Sheetal. Happy Anjali is not dancing to Sheetal's tune. Sheetal got embarrassed by Arnav, Anjali and Khushi but she is still not getting it. Even her son show her up but she is too blinded by greed to give up. Love it continue soon.
