He stood there behind a pillar staring at her again.
Its been a week since he have made this pillar his favourite spot. The first time he saw her was a week back in when he came to drop his massisa to shiv temple. Its the most oldest temple of ladnu and he and his family often visited here to get lords shiva blessing. When ever he felt in a situation where he himself didnt know the solution he trusted shiva to answer all his problem. To people shiva might me a god but for him shiva means a family. He had never seen his father. He was very small when his father passed away , since then he has taken his father responsibility over his shoulder. If he is The Uma shankar its because of shiv, his helper , guardian, friend and confidant. Uma never believed in showing his weakness. He was an idol for youth. People looked up at him for right path. Thus he had kept a barrier to the world where nobody could see the real him. He was a angel in disguise of evil.
Talking about his family he only had his mother who got paralysed soon after she recieved his father death news. And then he had masima who was a mother and masi all together for him. He also had his small brother Shiv. He kept the name after lord shiva. He loved him very much. Uma ,because of his keen interest in granth and Vedas he soon became the priest for the town.
Uma is very popular in Rajasthan. People are dying to get their daughter married to him. But he better knows he got a very powerful instinct. His understanding and willpower had helped him to reach this place where he has all fame and power. He kept all girls at one hand distance . He never thought he would become attracted to any girl but now he really is.
Since morning a sense of lonliness griped his heart.he couldnt concentrate on his work. He shared his restlessness with maasima and she suggested him the idea to visit the temple. Not that was a bad suggestion but then again would he be able to control himself against the beautiful chandan fragnance girl.
He waited for 1 hour behind the pillar watching her worshiping shiva. She had very innocent conversation with shiva. He observed that kanak had a habit of mumbling to herself.she looked cute when she did so,he thought to himself.
He wanted to go on land visit he was planning to buy one as a gift for maasima on her 38th birthday.
But his feet were glued to the surface. He wanted to get out of this feeling but the harder he tried the stronger the bond ties up.
A frown appeared on his forehead as he watched her leaving the temple.
It took all his self control from stopping her path and claming her right then and there. but he was sure about one thing that soon she will be his.
That night he used all his strenght to find out every little detail about her name, her likes/dislikes, her family background. He didn't even spare her allergies if she had one.He had totally lost himself in her.As if she had become his possession and he need to know everything about her.
Soon the night passed away and a beautiful morning knocked the door.This morning wasn't gray, but by soothing lavender and brilliant amber. The colors merged into neon pink and peach. He stretched his arm inviting the warms rays for hug and smiled to himself "KANAK, you will be mine today by the end..."
The day went in blurred and soon the stars started showing up. He took his car and drive to her hotel. He knocked the door and waited it to open.She was lying on her stomach, the white blanket covering her as she slept on the warm bed. The sudden knock on door made her startled and she got up from her place to open the door.
The creak of the door brought a smile of uma' s face. Soon she appeared before him.
"Yes?" she asked.
Uma nods his head in yes " I want to talk to you...something important."
Lines appears on kanak face . "yes boliye?"
"Not here. It would be great if you let me in." he said so softly looking at his left and right.
Kanak paused for a moment evaluating his request before she let him in.
She walked few steps inside, tagging him behind.
"What you wanted to tell me?" she asked with her grogy eyes. She was still sleepy.
He gulped before he gathered courage to speak.
" I want to speak about us. I want you to marry me.."
Kanak couldnt believe her eyes and ears. She rubbed her eyes before she took few steps away from him.
" *laughed* are you mad? This is what you wanted to say? This was your urgency at this point of time." she laughed heartedly at the audicity of this man.
"I know this all must have sound unbeliveable to you. That a man whom you know nothing about is asking for you to marry him. But trust me i am in all my sense.I want us to be together. Lord shiva has given me a sign . "
Her laughter disappeared. A fear engulfed her if he being the serial killer or. Some maniac. She thought of screaming and calling someone for help but was unsure whether its a good idea. So the best could be done was engage him in conversation and convince him to go . later she will think on how to getting him rid off.
She started a conversation which turned in to argument. Soon the things started to fall out of hands. She started screaming and pushing him out of his room.
Uma tried to convince her but she didnt believe him. When the situation started getting bad. He lost his temper.
"Get lost from here." kanak pushed him once more . uma instantly closed his palm into a fist. His breath began to uproot. He warned her to stop the act. But ignoring her warning she continued with the pushes.
After few pushes Uma felt wooden door behind him. He took the advantage of it and pulled her to him. He then rolled off and got her stuck between him and the door.
" what are you doing?" she screamed in surprise.
Up close, his breath was stolen away by her charming innocence. Natural blush adorned her cheeks. Involuntarily, he leaned closer to her face, breathing in her scent . Her body smelled of chandan. He shuts his eyes to inhale somemore. The sudden act made kanak's brain freezed few minutes staring at his face her eyes shot open at once in alarm . She made a fist of her palm,she began punching this young man on top of her . Her scream and pleads forced uma to bring his hand on her mouth. Her scream died soon.
Uma smiled at her convincing her to not be scared and he wont harm her.
Too much fear led kanak lost her conscious and she fell in to his arm.
Uma got worried seeing her numb form. He quickly brought his hands and picked her up in bridal style. He took her to his car and placed her in. He saw a single hair strand falling over cheeks, he brought his hand up and tucked her hairs behind her ears before moving towards to get seated on his seat.
Once seated he starts driving and reached his mansion within half an hour, stopping in front of the entrance he picked her up again and entered in the hall and starts moving towards stairs.
Everyone were fast asleep by the time he was back home. He continued walking to his room. Soon he entered the room. He placed kanak safely on bed. He went back to the door to shut and lock it. He sat beside her drinking the beauty which enhanced in the dim moonlight. And she slept comfortably still unaware of her surrounding. When a voice echoed the room...
