Mehak and Shaurya can't be childhood friends, as Shaurya doesn't seem to recognize Meera. They are not the same age as shown in those flashbacks. They have an age difference of around 5 years (i mean they changed their ages so many times, but i am settling for 23 years for Mehak and 28 yrs for Shaurya. Now shut up and follow this cvs.) So when the accident happened, Mehak is 12 yrs old and Shaurya must be 17 yrs old. We shouldn't pay any attention to what was shown in those flashbacks because those scenes were from another show. The past they will show now will have a totally different story. As long as they don't show Mehak and Shaurya as foster siblings OR Shaurya as a murderer, I am ok with any crap.

The only thing we are certain of is that the past has caught up 😆 and that the person in the car is from out of town who has been blackmailing Kurana ma Then she recognized Mehek's mom maybe they knew each other in the past or Shaurie's biological ma and Meheks mom were friends neighbors helping out a sick neighbour and her son the rest of the Sharma clan did not have to be involved in this, and maybe young Shaurie was to busy going to school and working part time to help buy meds for his ma that he never met or paid full attention to the aunties helping out. Then there is the possibility that a drunken Mr K was driving his car and the accident happened killing Mehek's parents and leaving Mehek unhurt.
