I agree with all of your points, but mainly these two - molestation was shown as a show of power over the girl or extracting revenge on her than a sexual thing; Its the near death experience of mahek, but not the molestation, that is necessary for shaurya to change his thinking.molestation part was for mahek to realize how she would feel about an unwanted touch. she was lost in shaurya when he was touching her during the fire drill though her mouth keeps saying no. would she be able to let someone touch her without her heart's consent if she agrees to marry someone else according to kantha's wishes?! I for one, had such a dirty feeling when kantha told mahek to sit in that sandy kabootar's car. it was as if she was telling her to get on his bed.🤢 sex is inevitable after marriage and mahek won't be happy in such a relationship when her heart wants someone else. what she needs right now is time to heal and i want shaurya to be part of her healing process.

Yes, I see what you mean about consent being relative. You may marry someone else for the sake of your family, and even consent to a physical relationship, but that is not the same as actually loving them and wanting it.
