Neha, he had his doubts but he wasn't a 100% sure about it because the reports twice came out in favor of Tia. I'm guessing Anika convinced him to trust her gut. So, when Tia finally said it, he was surprised but also relieved.

Edited after watching:

Shivaay didn't look surprised but relieved but there definitely was a moment where Anika gave him the "I told you so" look. As she rightly deserved to 😆
