By getting him remarried, if she keeps the new girl under her thumb, she might get her slave back. But considering Dev hates love, has numerous girlfriend (not recently, but still) and has allergic reaction to responsibility, how would makers will show him agreeing to remarriage, when he can just continue to enjoy the perks of marriage without responsibility and commitment with his girlfriends? Agreeing for remarriage knowing his mother's true nature sounds completely against Dev's character as shown until now. He knows now that his mother is going to make life hell for any woman he married.
