Her first film Cocktail was a big success and even Happy Bhag Jayegi worked with the multiplex audiences and recovered all its costs (got an average verdict). So why isn't she getting/signing more films? She looked like she could be a star but has completely disappeared again, just like she did after Cocktail released!

no contacts or famous parents

reclusive personality..stays to herself

bad acting..happy bhag jayegi exposed it..and even with movie doing well..every one panned penty's bad acting..

all these factors ..no wonder she is gone again

but i still like her..she is very easy on the eyes..just the happy kinda roles don't suit her..something subtle like meera is more her forte..

She got offers at the time but didn't want to pursue movies because her then-boyfriend didn't like the idea of her becoming a heroine
