Isn't the sight of a girl's symbols of marriage being stripped off in this brutal way disturbing?
What was her fault? All she wanted was to be freed from a marriage in which she was unable to embrace the role of a wife and was honest about it and for that she had to endure this much humiliation?
For that matter I am angry with Atharv too for keeping silent even if it is a matter between Ravish and Vividha.
As for your last sentence I can only say that his performance in BV is much better than this.Even when I disliked J I couldn't find fault with his performance. This is strictly my opinion.

As an empowered woman, what prevented her from taking away that MS and sindoor which made Suman to believe that Vividha still respects marriage? Ravish told her so many times to take away that MS. When none wanted to do so, Ravish did it. He had to do it because Atharv is not accepting Vividha. And why Vividha would not protest? She wants to be in the good books of Suman so that Suman will be miffed with her son.

Watched this show after ages, after reading lots of posts about yesterday's episode. Comments on Ravish's behaviour instigated a curiosity in me to watch and see what really happened!

Well, this show is all about ViTharv and how they stand together in love in spite of facing so many obstacles. Ravish came as a totally oblivious hurdle in between them, whose intentions were always good for the people around him.

Once he came to know about Vividha's past, his motive has been only to free Vividha from this forced marriage and unite Vitharv. And finally he did fulfill his promise. The manner which it happened might have been shocking or unpleasant, thus unacceptable to many. But the desperation in Ravish to unite ViTharv and end Vividha's sufferings was very much obvious. This desperation might have made him behave the way he did. But it wasn't wrong. If Atharv needed some treatments to bring back his memory, this was like one more shock treatment to make him realise and accept the fact that Ravish and Vividha have no future together and she has always been his. Ravish's acts might make him look like a Mahaan, but he is doing himself a favour too by ending his marriage in this abrupt manner. He can heave a sigh of relief now that he isn't guilty of anything or anyone!

As an empowered woman she made her views about her marriage quite clear to everyone many times.
She also made it clear that she cares for Ravish and his family too if not as bahu at least as a friend of Ravish.
In that scene where all the truths were revealed in front of Atharv she was very angry with Atharv for him getting aggressive with Ravish and told him that Ravish and his family are a nice bunch pf people and they shouldn't hurt them in any way.

So it is clear why she didn't remove her MS and Sindoor in front of them. She wanted the move to come from them and let her go.It is not about her wanting to be good in in their eyes but it is about Suman accepting that relationship is no more.

Ravish could have chosen a less brutal way of making the point clear to his mother.
What he did to Vividha is done to what people do to women who were recently widowed. That itself is a barbaric practice and by doing all this he is telling Vividha that he is dead for her and will she be able to get over this soon?
He could have convinced his mother and Sujata that divorce is the way to go forward instead endorcing their crap about ulte phere.
