What is the Hindi word for 'model'?

Manu had asked this to Manveer yesterday who in turn answered "Namoona". That would mean "Example" in English, no? So what is the correct translated word for it in Hindi?

I think its "Prathinidhi" (wrong spelling maybe but you get the idea lol)

Prathinidhi is a Representative - no where its model. Namuna is correct actually cuz model is a medium to display the creativity or information. It does sound weird but its very close to the meaning.

I have trouble translating from english written hindi words, hindi written in hindi alphabets is much easier for me. Someone once asked me to translate "chaloo", I said in english "devious/fake", it was actually meaning "go/lets go". 😆

Namuna is not wrong in literal meaning but it's wrong contextually. Model as human representive can be Pratiroop (as far as my knowledge of Hindi goes). Namuna is used when it's non living object representation. Role model is ofcourse adarsh.

Yeah you're right, so I guess "adarsh" would equal "role model".

Namoona has a funny sound to it when referencing people rather than objects.
