I will begin by talking about the end of the episode, vis a vis the Shivaay-Anika scene which was probably the most noteworthy scene of the episode.
Keeping aside the endless lulzyness of these two squinting against the dirt and wind swirling around them and trying to get to each other...special appearance by falling tree branch was just WAAH👏🤣, still no idea what exact heart ailment Shivaay has that is kicked up by a dust allergy😆...anyways, moving on😆
When they finally get inside that house and Shivaay is a whipped up combination of frustration, worry over Om, frustration over his own ailment slowing him down, irritation with Anika fussing over him, out bursts his anger in all it's ugly glory and finds it's usual favorite target...Anika.
That Billu has long standing anger management problems is no mystery or surprise to those of us who've watched this show long enough😆...what was interesting about today's scene though was a surprisingly direct addressing of the facts of their situation...in his anger, Shivaay bursts out with vitriol about how Anika apne aap ko uski biwi maan baithi hai, a fact Anika instantly denied😆, much to my amusement..."Aisi koi baat nahin hai, Shivaay"😆...this said while holding on to his arm all biwi-like😆...so Billu continues with spitting out venom..."You think I smiled at you a few times and you started to consider this a real marriage?"...Anika with obviously no interest in self-preservation continues to both deny this😆 and still try to placate him😆...so he pushes her away in anger...and then comes THE SWITCH😆...another Billu specialty😆.
Probably my fav. part of the scene especially for Anika's expressions...the way she instantly shuts down, hurt, the bitterness that had been put aside for a while over what he did to her, rising to the fore again...and Billu's reaction😆...INSTANT panic over possibly having hurt her again...fussing over her hand again, trying to brush her hair with his hand...I liked how Anika pushed him away, letting him know that his words hurt her far more than that push...that way she has of cutting him down to size with her direct, accusing stare.
And for once, instead of retreating into his usual denial shell, Billu actually addressed his crimes somewhat😆...for the first time, apologizing for his stupid actions in the throes of his temper...acknowledging that his mind shuts down in anger and all his anger and frustration pours out on her...There was that interesting moment where she asked him if this apology was only for today, or for all he has done in general😆...which Billu nicely managed to sidestep😆...by just profusely apologizing in general and admitting it's all his fault for losing his temper again...somewhat of an unfinished conversation, this...but it was a start.
What also struck me about the convo was just how husband-wife like it was...the gussa and hurt swirling b/w them...the back and forth...first in anger, then in contrition...such a cycle of hurt and healing...SC and NM did a great job in this scene.
Now coming to the rest of the LULZ😆
1) Anika's "Mujhe aandhi toofaan se koi darr nahin" line in the end😆😆...ofcourse setting up the stage for showing the distance she can go for Shivaay...and the distance he can go for her😆...save her in the midst of grappling with his own severe asthma attack😆
2) Om's detective-giri FAIL😆...the little moment where he actually feels guilty about just opening the window to someone's house🤣
3) The TERRIBLE acting of Ms. Romi as she lounged around on the hood of a random old car with lame monologues about stopping Shivika😆
4) Daadi's howlariously loud expressions to show her shock over the D word (Divorce) being used in the house again😆...I love how everybody has amnesia about Shivaay OPENLY touting Divorce in the case of him and Anika but Tej-Jhanvi ke connection mein ho toh suddenly Daadi ko zyada sadmaa lag jaata hai😆
I loved how Pinky bajaaoed Tej though..."Apni umar ka toh lihaaz keejiye, bhai saab"😆
Thank god we were spared the visual of a hanging Anika in the precap atleast...they are saving all that "fun" for tomorrow I guess😆
