She has to be more comfortable I guess in such scenes...

In their closeness waale scenes, steam is only coming out of one engine, the other one even refuses to start for now... 🤣

She is trying to be the cold hearted biatch for now but still she has to pick up pace with Shaurya Khanna soon... Their level of dedication for the role is way apart yet...

^Pehle toh I've to say that I LOVED & loved how Shaurya reasoned it out with Nehal. Not immediately in the car but after the Sangeet. Actually both. I know it wasn't something new but there was something in it and made me fall flat for him. Also, the way he dealt with Mahek.
*Bol liya*😆

For such characters on TV, pehle the way the MLs are shown has to change. The concept of a couple is : strong boy, weak girl (bolne mein sati savitri, Pati ki raksha karni hi toh Durga).
In this context, I refer a show to you : Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhaniyaa. It aired on Sony. You'll find all epis on YT. It had a bad ass, utter flawed FL (not exactly but very much like Sonal) and a meek hero. Give it a try, it changed the concept of stereotypism.

Naagin : the favourite stuff now! IMO, the Indian audiences were fed up of Saas Bahu drama. But still, they cannot accept something new so supernatural (mind you, it's Indian Supernatural) made its way coz it catered to the ideal girl image with an amazing variation. -_-

Indian movies are going from bad to worse. I'm so fed up! In the early 2010s, there were some amazing movies. Simple example is Leela. The exaggeration of your type FL. Then even Aish in Hum Dil Dear Chuke Sanam. Damn it, they know they're hot! Konkana was great too!
These were awesome but then again, Ladka jaisa bhi ho, Shaadi toh karni hai coz he's my hero. I haven't seen a single film where the heroine dumps the hero coz he's not perfect. Even in YJHD, I couldn't see any reason for Naina to marry bunny. He was almost a nomad, had no concern for relations. She should've talked it out that she'll not marry him even though she loved him, if he doesn't change.
That reminds me of Shaurya's dialogue again - Pati jaisa bhi ho, parmeshwar hota hai #SadReality
I love this guy so much!
A change could be Dear Zindagi. Alia doesn't marry anyone coz she doesn't find a guy who suits her. Appreciable, again!⭐️

...

I've one more point of discussion. If you're ready and interested.
KD tells Shaurya that his anger will let him down one day. I think Mahek is shown so thanda coz in future she has to cool him down. It'll be a masterstroke if Mahek is married to him, but he lashes out on her due to stress and gets angry on her. Then, he tells her to leave him coz he's hopeless. Hoga aisa? What you think? I desperately want to see this when the male asks female to leave him for her own good. Shaurya has done it, by asking her to join KD. I hadn't thought of it in the wildest of dreams! Shit, this guy is ❤️

Auditi - looks like we have more fundamental issues now; of engine starting and one not even stuttering 🤣 🤣

SK is a tiger, a cat, with good adam's apple and mole who was faking it, not faking it and has now become a steam engine!
Gosh! Hilarious! 🤣 🤣

@Artist, you raised pertinent points in this post.

1. Shaurya Khanna as a character. If I forget for a moment, the good looking actor who essays it, the character in itself is a masterstroke for indian telly, I think.

Strong boy - yes he is, Flawed - yes, he is. But, the feminist streak in him is a class apart. It would have been all very well for the FL to go bleating about feminism, KC, this that. But when the ML takes up such issues and is non judgemental, then that for me is breaking stereotypes.

ZKM has done to MLs what has never been seen before on television. A ML who encourages FL to work - that she does not need to be married to have an identity! Who says that on TV!

And that's when I fell in love with the character SK. Powerful hai, boss - a heady turn on. If he was just good looking, like all the other MLs in other shows, it would not have cut ice.

2. Interesting, that you should bring up - Bade Bhaiya ki Dulhania. In my office, none of us follow indian GECs ( you know how it is). Zindagi as a channel found traction and Sumit Sambhal lega had takers. But this show Bade Bhaiya too had takers and there was strong advocacy to follw this too. Precisely for the reasons mentioned. But this again, shows that it catered to a niche taste ( us - non GEC crowd) and did not win mass approval. Show is off air now, I believe. Have no idea of the concept of naagin.

3. Movies - Leela - do you mean the Sunny Leone one?

Ladka jaise bhi ho shaadi karni hai adage is so true. For that matter, I liked Love Aaj Kal - progressive it was. But then again, even in movies like cocktail, the guy sleeps with the'bad' girl but wants the 'good' girl for his wife! Kuch kuch is another example (late 90's though) - Put kajal in a sari and lo behold! the guy falls for her. What was wrong with her in Tees?

Finally, muddhe pe aati hu

SK losing his cool and lashing out is an interesting possibility. But right now, the character graph of SK has veered to another extreme. He is this calm, docile, patient guy with no tinge of anger and somehow the focus is off, Mehak. KD's prophesy sounded more sinister like how she could be used as a pawn to bring about SK's downfall, more so coz SK's defences are down with her.

Phew! a long post.

I feel it is the lack of experience and also not so good acting of samiksha. The romance in the kitchen would have been much much better if samiksha could have delivered even a minimal amount of expression. Her exprssion looked totally wooden to me.She was not even able to make her presence feel in that scene.!!!

Thilss, I understand the track and that has limitations currently, with regard to what am citing here.

But am talking of her expressions - she comes off as wooden to me. But i see your point too.

That she just has not had the time.

And what spoilt brat! Nah, all of us are in the same boat - we are real and not some myths in the cauldron of history cloaked from head to toe in veil of sanskaar! (phew.. long sentence 😛)

😆😆 Santi. Loved it to the bits. That long sentence. Loll btw I'm a spoilt brattt in many ways ( literary ) 😆😆

Alright yeah.
I'm talking of Leela of Ram Leela. Deepika leads the romance there with quite certainty.
Oh good you know about it! It's great to see appreciation for BBKD.
Oh yeah. Let's see what happens now.

We've had a good deal of talk, right? I enjoyed it!

Signing off,

Ciao.
