I think the advantage SRK had when he went into movies was that his first film "dewaana" was as a second hero, who came after the interval. The movie had Divya Bharti, who was a popular actress and Rishi Kapoor who had started to wane (which helped SRK as there was less competition among them as all the young girls wont drool over a 40+ actor) but still held some popularity. The people flocked to see that movie bcoz of the songs, story, actors and SRK benefitted from it and people saw that he has the makings of a great actor.
I think it would have done RAjeev good, if he would have starred in a movie with a young actress and an actor like Anil, Sanjay who are good but not truly teenyboppers heartthrobs . You know that movie will get written abt for those actors and Rajeev would have benefitted.
I have noticed that some movies with total newcomers as leads flop bcoz of lack of publicity or ppl just dont want to spend money on a lesser known actor. Like the movie "Socha Na Tha" to name a few starring Ayesha takia and Abhay deol flopped not bcoz it was a bad movie, but ppl were not willing to spend money on new actors. I wish RAjeev luck, I am sure his fans will ensure that the movie gets a decent opening and hopefully the movie will be good and word will spread. 😊

Its probably her frustration over loosing an awesome actor like Rajeev that makes her say such things.. jeez... she is just jealous! i hate that attitude that actors have to tail behind her to show that they are loyal... oh..
