He paced the foyer urgently, might even be ruining the carpeting with his nervous tread.
Dammit, I am a straightforward man with a clear view of his ambitions and with smart intellect. I like my routines and predictable outcomes. I am darn good at projecting for future risk vs benefit, if I may say so myself.
But Annika ... she's made a kichdi of my brain. My peace of mind has taken a sabbatical and gone lately.
He paced the floor some more, until Om came inn and distracted him a little. His brother knew he was ruminating over something and offered his ear.
Tell you what Om?
That I feel like shaking my childhood best bud for going after Annika ?
That I couldnt stop him from going to propose to her ... right now, this very moment, she might be wearing his damned ring or something ! !?
What if Daksh spirited her to a nearest mandir and married her already !!!
Bile rose up his throat unpleasantly. Giving Om a grim smile he stamped down his restlessness. Om cracked a joke , and he relaxed a little, happy hormones soothing his cardiac hyperactivity.
Then she walked in. Cool, as you please, just sashaying in like she had all the time in the world. And Daksh walked side by side, with a neutral expression.
Shivaay scanned their faces for any sign of what transpired. Deadpan, non revealing faces frustrated him. Normally , she was a fascinating study of expressions . Cheerful , Cheeky , Curious, adorably scheming, frowningly busy, there was always something on her face. But today, he couldnt read anything and he felt his panic rise.
Darnit , do I have to dig out the bloody details too!?
"So ... How was .. "it" ... ? " Damned but he felt awkward as hell. Just spit it out already would you?
" Whatever you set out to do . .. is it done then? "
He saw Omkara's eyebrows shoot up in surprise. Daksh starts acting coy and secretive and he had to stop himself from shaking the man. So he glared at Annika instead, pointedly demanding an answer.
She lowered her eyes, and was awkwardly arranging her words. "Actually , Billu ji ..."
And Dadi chose that freaking millisecond to call her away. He even followed her up to Dadi, thoroughly fed up with this Billuji nonsense. She wouldnt stop using the name, but need she do it in front of everyone ?
It made him sound like a kitten?!
He stalked her to the poolside to corner an answer out of her. I really need to know, what's happening . .
She skirts around some more, beating about the bush. Finally , dismissing him like a troublesome household pet , she tried to walk away.
He didn't know what got hold of him. He saw red. I demand an answer Annika! Do not dismiss me like a child!
He grabs her forearm and stops her. He felt an anger so intense because someone can mess with his head and heart like this and walk away.
"My name ... is Shivaay Singh Oberoi . I suggest you use that name..."
I am neither tame or dismissable . Don't push me Annika.
"So Tia was right. Someone has come into your life. Someone "special" apparently..."
"I see, so you're privy to all the behind the scene activities...?" she muttered, irritated.
Abandoning all pretence , he asked her directly.
"Did you say Yes, or No ? "
He held his breath for the answer whilst staring her down eye to eye. Yes, or No?
" No ..." Daksh's voice said from behind them. "She refused to marry me. It hurts, but I respect her decision.. "
A relief so intense coursed through his whole body. That nervous tic ceased and he stopped hearing his blood rushing up to his ears.
"I'm sorry Daksh.. but I do respect the way you are unstoppable in expressing your feelings..." after a pause, she added, "some people just can't get it out of their chest .."
With a long look, she turned and walked away...

Shivaay is slowly starting to stake his claim over Annika. His jealousy was obvious for all to see today, and he didn't give 2 hoots. Om saw it, Daksh saw it too.
My God , when he held her hand and demanded to be called Shivaay... my heart was beating so fast! "I am no domesticated house cat , I am a dangerous Jungle Carnivorous Cat !" đ
p/s: Am rewatching the episode over and over , cannot descibe how awesome Nakuul and Surbhi are igniting the screen. Gorgeous couple I tell you ..â¤ď¸
p.p/s: Rudra Saumya showed an awesome angst today too. Both are so reluctant to let go, and yet so hesitant to reach out. Rudra is very attached to her , and he takes care of what it his... But for Soumya it's like shes being backed into a corner. Now she has to marry the boy who dumped her so cruelly. I really felt her desperate anxiety. Is Ayi coming to Oberoi Mansion soon?
