I think Shaurya himself comes from a poor background...and had a very miserable childhood living in an orphanage (flashback scene fighting with some children)...!

Mrs Khanna isn't his real Mom..! Mr Khanna cheated on his biological mother who was a middle-class woman, abandoned them and took Mrs Khanna as his second wife...who belongs to a rich family (the latter unaware that he was already a married man and that's why Mami called him a fraud)..!

The Karwa Chaut flashback scene...Shaurya real Mom kept on waiting for her husband and he never came...! May be...she died a natural death or committed suicide on that fasting day itself..reason for Shaurya hating everything related to Karwa Chaut in present day too...!

Shaurya real Mum died...and Shaurya was sent to an orphanage where he had a very miserable life...! Could be...his cooking journey started from there itself..! Mrs Khanna came to know of his husband truth...and of Shaurya existence and blackmailed Mr Khanna to bring Shaurya home...! Being a good hearted lady, she showered all her motherly love on Shaurya ...and Shaurya heartedly accepted her as his Mom...but, never forgave his Dad who was the reason of his real mother death and his painful childhood life...!

And that's why Mami taunted Shaurya that wearing expensive clothes doesn't change the truth of your background..and that he's been living at their expense since 12 years...!

Could be...Mr Khanna accompanied by Mami's husband went to fetch Shaurya from the orphanage...but, he refused to come...! Mr Khanna forcibly took him from there...and they were arguing in the car when the accident happened...! Mami's husband was on the driving seat, got distracted...and thus, caused the accident and was condemned by the law as he unwillingly killed two persons (supposedly Mehek's parents)...! Is Mama really in prison...? My hindi language isn't that good...and in the written updates, didn't read anything like that...! Somehow...Shaurya felt himself responsible for that disaster...and that's why the past keeps on haunting him as he's carrying the burden of two people death on his shoulders...!

Shaurya doesn't only hate the middle-class word...but, everything and everyone that's related to it...! He don't want to be reminded of those heartbreaking, sorrowful and miserable moments of his life...! He's doing his best to bury all those bad memories...and gets angry, when he's constantly reminded of his dark and painful past...!⭐️

Why do I get a feeling that Shaurya was always rich and being married to Mr.Khanna who is from middle class makes his view on the middle class bad..May be his mom was rich and due to circumstances ended up marrying him?
