Anika is in love with Shivaay but he is still trying to figure it out. Otherwise she wouldn't have saved Shivaay in Gayatri's murder case by putting her chastity at stake.

Why the hell Anika is allowing Shivaay to get so close to her everytime. Even after the announcement of Tia's wedding If he tries to et close to her and if she allows the same she doesn't deserve any respect.

I also feel it's not a 'Die for you kind of love" yet.. Love that makes one feel lost without the other.

Shivaay has a huge crush (infatuation) on Annika, and doesn't know what to do about it. Annika, however is in deeper feelings. She had the priviledge of seeing 'lowered shields Shivaay' and his secret feelings for her. It's messed her brains up.

Normally she wouldn't even think of crushing on the Bhagad Billa , but the man himself told her stuff and confused her. Especially after he cruelly fired her and degraded her, she went into tragic unrequited love territory. She helped him because she was in love with him. And proposing to Tia was a painful eye opener..

Leading to the infamous precap. He insists on explaining to Annika but she insists on a wedding date instead. He can see that she is very hurt and upset, but see, he isn't arrogant about it. Kuch to hai.

As per promo, she's going to be Angry young Annika from now..

See Annz I think the shoe is on the other foot-- I think with two such closed off characters the way in which they show intimacy is if they reveal themselves and drop their shields. Attraction is almost secondary. Both of them have almost equally strong walls around their emotions and heart, so its allowing someone into their innermost circle that would indicate love for these two.

But with the sizzling chemistry in the examples Yellomellow brings up, lets go with some givens--they are both insanely attracted to each other, both being ultra fiery. That's a given. Here, he has the upper hand over her, he knows exactly what he's feeling and is much more open about it, she is getting the michmichis and has thoughts wavering between Cheapre!! and utter, fascinated curiosity. She is innocent (or she wouldn't be on TV, nach), but he's clearly been around the block, so is comfortable with grabbing and ghooring and taking every opportunity to cop a bit of a feel. That's pretty obvious. But that's just physical attraction, not anything more.

For this couple, Love=Vulnerability. And in this context, Anika wins, hands down, when it comes to who is still in control. If showing each other what is behind the wall reveals how far they have fallen, Shivaay has fallen for her much more than she has. In this context, he's an open book to her, when you contrast it with what he knows about HER . Its not just her being in his house--he talks to her, listens to her, goes on adventures with her, leaves a wedding mandaap because she asks him to. His lets her deal with Rudra and Soumya, his ex girlfriend situation is fixed by, and through her. People in his inner circle, and his own issues, are things he openly relies on her to help him with now. He has revealed his world to her, and in contrast, as the TM yellomellow says--she is literally a stranger for him.

So in this context, Shivaay has made himself thoroughly vulnerable, while she has not. She has the hots for him, likes him and worries about him and thinks he is a better person than he appears to be. She hasn't projected onto him--she reason to think all this. He's dropped his guard and shown her his real nature, warts and all, for months now. She has shown him nothing of herself, her background, her issues, her fears, he hasn't even met her brother properly. Hell, he doesn't even know she's an adopted orphan, she's that private, STILL. She hasn't let him in one inch, while burrowing into his life and becoming indispensable. She babbles endlessly, but not once has it been about anything real. He listens to everything with the obsessive focus of a smitten man, but if he tries to find out anything from her, (like when he directly asks her kya matlab? when she speaks of fighting the world) she shuts him down immediately.

Shivaay has respected her brains, listened to her, let her influence his "dimaag" much more than poor Tia, more than even his mother has managed to do--if that's not love, I don't know what is--he shares his burdens with her, and that's better than a love letter or a diamond ring from this kind of man. For a man like him, loving his mate can happen only once he respects his mate--
takkar barabari ka. Shivaay's feelings for her are more advanced, there is respect, trust, and friendship, coupled with stronger physical attraction, too. On her part, I can see her walking away, no regrets, no looking back given the right provocation. He would be left bleeding, not knowing how to even find her, if she bas just moved her house and changed her cell number.

This will be the toughest battle of this Oberoi's life. He will realize, once he's done with fighting himself, that the woman he finally has fallen for will not reciprocate an Oberoi's affections for just the snapping of his fingers. He'll have to fight her to win her. And he doesn't know her enough, to know HOW.

Wow what an amazing post. You and pritzz managed to make sense of all this for me 😆

I had a problem connecting their feelings with love because they are complete strangers. Thinking about it now, both of them are "strong walls" and don't have the luxury of showing weakness or have someone to lean on. They handle it all on their own. Him letting down his guard around her and even going as far to rest on shoulder (and sleep on her lap) shows he let her in and on a subconscious level he views her as an equal. Showing vulnerability, sharing burdens, and accepting help is difficult for them, but it happens so easily between them. He relies on her and is hurt when she isn't on his side. They spent 100+ episodes gradually showing his feelings and her feelings seem to appear over night. That was the disconnect, but your post makes sense:

"She has the hots for him, likes him and worries about him and thinks he is a better person than he appears to be. She hasn't projected onto him--she reason to think all this. "

"She has shown him nothing of herself, her background, her issues, her fears, he hasn't even met her brother properly. Hell, he doesn't even know she's an adopted orphan, she's that private, STILL."

I agree its seem more like curiosity or fascination with him, his vulnerable side, and the feelings he is starting to invoke in her. She is emotionally invested but to a limit and it doesn't include sharing her weaknesses or fears. She has kept everything to herself and she still hasn't shown her vulnerable side or relied on him to help her with her problems. She still handles everything alone.

Honestly, you guys managed to explain what the writers couldn't do in 100+ episodes. Bravo 👏

awesome POV @napstermonster... 👏

watching him struggle to win her and abandon his lofty principles may truly be Shivaay in a modern Darcy role.
