This is my first OS..
it starts with their first wedding anniversay but with a twist.. because of Ishwari's insecurities Dev and Sona parted ways 6 months back!!
SONAKSHI's POV
30th September 2017 i really had a lot of plans for this day 6 months ago!! But now when i look at it.. its nothing but a dull ache in my chest!! Come on Sona u can do this.. i wiped my tears and headed for the washroom it was 8:00 am and i had to be at my work place by 9:30. Without giving a second glance at my bedside table which had the pictures from my happiest days, i proceeded with the task at hand. Today was different.. at least for me i may be living away from my husband but i was still a married woman and just like any Bengali married woman i too had my shakha paula on but today i decided with a dab of lipstick, i would put on the two things that i took off 6 months ago.. my sindoor and my magalsutra!!
"BIjoy breakfast thanda ho raha h" i could hear ma as i descended the stairs to the dining table and as soon as i was in sight my family stopped dead in tracks seeing my appearance i presume.. and i was not wrong "sona eta ki??" baba questioned and before i could say something ma ushered me to the table saying "chalo nashta thanda ho raha h". Honestly i was grateful to the affinity above for such a wonderful mother. After that the whole breakfast passed with just one question in my mind DOES HE REMEMBER??
My question was answered as soon as i steped out of my house to see a black Volvo parked outside my gate. Dev stood there leaning against the frame of the car, 6 months ago if i would have seen him like this i would have run straight into his arms without any hitch or worry about the damn world, but today, things were different. I saw his expressions shift as his gaze fell on my face registering my appearance and i reluctantly walked towards him...
DEV's POV
I saw her walk towards me and the doubts that i had since the morning washed away as quickly as they had taken root in my head.. i woke up as usual with the same thoughts revolving about my head... my sona waking me up, laughing with me, dressing me up... but today was different as soon as i looked at the wall facing my bed i was teleported to the happiest day of my life... i dressed in a daze thinking again and again DOES SHE REMEMBER??
"Dev, beta tu taiyar hogya?? Chal phir sath beth ke nashta krte h" ma called me out i looked at her and from her expressions i knew she didn't remember the date nor the day or why it was so special for me.. it pained me that my own mother was indifferent to my life but my love for her was what kept me rooted to the spot. "ma ek important meeting hai or mai late ho raha hoon. Office mein kuch kha lunga" i semi-lied to her as i planned to do throughout the day... i could not tell her i would be spending my day with her Daughter in law.
She stopped in front of me and just took my breath away.. my memories of her perfume had not done justice with it!! I could feel my heart ready to jump out of its cage at the mere sight of her so close to me, she wore a plain red anarkali, with the 2 bengali bangles as i called them! The thing that caught my eyes was her magalsutra and her sindoor!!
"Mr Dixit aap yahan??" her question bought me out of my reverie and i pulled her in a hug and felt like everything fell into place!! " Mr Dixit Mr dixit Dev!!" she said a little loud and i reluctantly pulled away to look at her " aap kya kar rahe hai??" " apni wife ko hug kar raha hoon" i replied unaffected by her glare.. "iska kya matlab hua dev 6 mahine pehle.." " Sona please kya hum 1 din ke liye sab kuch peeche nahi chodh sakte please.. aaj ka din hum vaise hi bitanenge jaisa humne plan kia tha"
I cut in before she could carry on with the 6 months ago story.. i just wanted this day to be ours and nobody else's..
SONAKSHI's POV
His request took me by surprise i had never in my wildest dreams imagined a scene like this.. and before i could respond dev went down on his knees and held out his hand saying" Mrs SOnakshi Dev Dixit kya aap apna aaj ka pura din apne pati ke sath spend krengi??" i was completely in shock a moment ago i was reluctantly walking towards him and now this... how was any woman on earth suppose to control herself when she stood infront of a man as charming as dev luckily i was not any woman i was HIS woman.. smiling at this thought i just nodded a yes!! And before i could ask him any futher questions he jumped to his feet and said" then its settled aaj hum vahi krenge j 1 normal husband wife ko krna chahiye apni first wedding anniversary pe!!" with a wink he pulled me towards the passenger side door of the car holding it open for me directed me to get in and i just could not control my laughter... while laughing i realised that this was after a very long time i felt this happy and relaxed and the reason for such unbound happiness was one and only DEVRATH DIXIT!!
