One of our family friend's wife watches KDP regularly, but husband don't have time / interest to watch serials. He watched it yesterday as he was at home and had no access to remote. He was curious now what will happen to Shauri.

That's the reason for the uncompleted wedding in maha episode. This will increase their viewership.

I think, wedding rituals will go on during the entire next week. First baba convincing, then Gauri convincing, then 7^th phera, bidai, naye ghar me entry... And yes, the hell lot of politics at every stage. 🤔

That's the viewership Kamalji was talking about. Thousands of new viewers in exchange for irritating the fewer faithful ones. If he watches today's episode, then mission achieved for ZM and the CV's.

I mentioned the whole lines Ammaji told Aai (some stupid joke I think 🤢), but equally bad was her statement saying Gauri would stay at home and would not be able to do singing or anything (a reference to the jugalbandis she heard the Sawants doing)

Hoping for something good from the CV's tonight- hope Shiv stands up in this epi and doesn't stay a mute spectator :)

really the couple were looking so beautiful and adorable...it was absolute bliss watching them...bt as every one said above ...on this auspicious day...unnecessary importance was given to negativity...and Nisha/ Amma drama...rest ..the whole epi was so colourful...all were beautifully dressed...and the set too was full of grandeur⭐️..

after marriage when Shiv/ Gauri reach Banares...Amma ki khair nai...Daadiji to Amma ko dho daalegi...when she comes to know about the unpleasant things that happened in Mumbai...

aaj...Gauri chi aai chi satva pareeksha aahe...when baba comes to know that all in the family knew about Gauri going to Banares except him....

hope the happy times r shown soon..😊

Ever since Amma landed in Mumbai, there has hardly been any romance. The positive and negative phases have been so fast that there is hardly time for the romance to bloom before the next negative phase starts. And with Amma in full revenge mode, I doubt we will be able to see some good romance even after the marriage. Such a sweet romance has been just trashed to increase TRPS. Sad that CV's are hankering after TRPS rather than giving a memorable serial which will be remembered by all viewers as a classic.
Keeping my fingers crossed that things don't move from bad to worse (though I can't think of anything worse than a marriage starting on so much negativity).
And I can bet that KDP will just soar to the top of the BARC list thanks to all this tamasha. 😡

That is indeed strange. With Dadi herself an enthusiastic amateur singer and dancer, how will Amma be able to prevent Gauri from exercising her lungs? 😕

So many different views on this forum(mostly negative). Par kya kare Amma ne kam hi aisa kiya hai. I remember few days ago every body on this forum was eagerly waiting for Shouri marriage. And now all must be repenting. Haha.. A much awaited wedding turn into a big disaster.
The sweet love story started into the little house of 1bhk,on the bus stop,on the Indraprastha katta,the chai Ki tapari has really lost. In the big fat wedding we didn't get a single word between the lovely couple & seems that in future we will get only few minute romance between Shouri.
Amma is prepared to torture Gouri. Nisha is all set to throw Sawants out of house. I just want to see the dashing Shiv back & stop all this nonsense.
Kya meri wish puri hogi?

Such a let down...he is sher only in mumbai ..when he was fighting for gauri with baba...

HAHA...For me KRPKAB itself was TOO MUCH 😒 🤢 I FFed most of it because the SBB/SBS segments and promos had raised my curiosity enough to watch. But it was a total let down for me.

I can't imagine such folks in real life as I haven't experienced any myself and honestly pray that no one ever gets to experience such negativity in life.

But there are such women who have had Ishwari & Amma type MIL and KRPKAB has brought such women in the forefront

Do I (or we sensible spectators) watch serials to see all of this - what happens in real life again onscreen? And that's where my biggest turn off from serials that show negativity lies. I am very sensitive and I can't sleep for long if I see such things 😳😭

In fact for me, it should not happen in real life also (personally, none of it happened for me). My MIL is the sweetest EVER person I have met, despite her staying in a village and never being exposed to city life. YET, she's the most sensible one in the whole crowd that I know. I have seen her braid my co-sister's hair even after my co-sister had her first kid, so I don't mind wearing saree when I go there, that's her only expectation from me. Although I stay there for max 10 days at a stretch, for a person with negativity, that time is more than sufficient to taunt and do all drama. Folks may find this unbelievable but even after 16 years, I can't recollect even one trip that she has dished out any taunt, insult is FAR away.

Am sure many of us have such good MILs, then why do I need to see women like Amma or Ishwari onscreen and upset myself?

Yes, staying away from negativity is my choice, but being unable to watch Shauri (or Deavkshi) happy moments is heartbreaking 😭

We're somewhat similar I guess 😆

When I watch KDP, I look for Kamalji's updates first. That gives me the really negative or depressing parts I can skip (for example I skipped the Amma bathwater ritual yesterday) and I watch the epi on Ozee.

I dislike negativity too- it's the reason I've practically stopped watching Hindi soaps (and have effectively sworn never to watch any Ekta show- they all go down the drain after a few months). Maybe I invest too much emotionally with my lead characters- that involvement will reduce as I grow older I guess 😊

I do understand there has to be a level of scheming and stuff to keep the TRP meters going, but I don't like negative tracks that go on and on or get regurgitated.

I mean day to day life has its share of drudgery- if you come home and watch more negativity, it just makes one more depressed. The newspapers are filled with depressing news half the time and so are the TV's ( I wonder how Arnab's heart is surviving after all these years!)

Gauri brought into mandap. Aaiee tells Baba to take it easy. Baba walks off and Aaiee follows him out.
Bua asks Amma if she has played any game.
Amma tells Nisha that she will now face the wrath of Baba.
Baba accuses Aaie they had known about their going out of Mumbai. Angry Baba being pacified by Aaiee. Aaiee Warns Baba that Gauri will be really down and out if the 7th phera is not completed as she doesn't know anything about this demand.
Baba arrives back in the pandal and apologises to Shukls for keeping them waiting.
Seventh phera completed. Baba silent. And so finally with mangalsutra and sindoor the marriage process completed.
Couple seeking blessings of elders.
Gauri in tears as she embraces aaiee.
All guests go for meals.
Amma refuses to eat till Aaiee recites gaari. Aajee takes the lead and calls Mitu to join them for the recitation.
Aajee in full form with Aaiee, Nisha and Mitu singing it out and dancing to the tune. Too good!
Amma silent as Aaiee taunts her if she will now eat.
Meals started by all the guests. Amma reluctantly starts to eat.
Bidai. They take blessings of Baba. Baba then tells Gauri that he has taken an important decision that as per Shiv's parents wishes, she will have to go to Benaras and he has agreed. Gauri stunned. Baba and Gauri in tears. Everyone in tears. Baba tells her to have a happy life with Shiv. Shiv assures Baba that he will take good care of her.
Precap: After the couple leave in car,Baba in foul mood accusing Nisha of tricking him. Nisha passes the buck and says that she did exactly what Shiv told her to do.
