Nachiket sorry that you were rushed into starting this thread! The last few pages on the previous thread were gobbled up in no time.

I guess this will be around 2 weeks of tamasha, similar to the time it took for Akshat-Gauri's issue to be settled. Maybe a week of that with Gauri and Aai in Benares.

Both SIL's today were obnoxious- they stated they would never step into the house if Gauri came into it

Dadi's daughter upset that Urmila landed in the house before her 😛

Amma was in full on nautanki mode today and struck when the iron was hot by making Dadi convey the message in Shiv's absence.

To be fair to the CV's- this is probably reality- the two cultures are quite different and nobody agrees to intercaste/state marriages at first shot. But nobody would like to sit through this tamasha (added issue because it will be in Hindi on a predominantly Marathi channel)

I wonder if Shiv privately fancies running away and marrying Gauri without his family's approval, but such an act wouldn't go down too well in the eyes of Baba, so we'll have to sit through two or more weeks of drama before acceptance.

Also because of the added popularity of KDP, we'd expect the directors to give us good epi's everyday, which sometimes is not practically possible.

Keeping fingers crossed.

I think we will be going through the same negative cycle that we went through around the time of the Akshat fiasco. But if we go by the new ticker, Chuttan may convince Dadi to meet Gauri. The slightly positive cycle may start but then once again Dadi may say no after meeting her. This then will continue till something dramatic happens for Dadi to finally decide that Gauri is the right girl for Shiv(maybe 2 or 3 weeks from now ).
Anyway, it will be watchable if they can tone down the nautanki of all the benarasi characters.

Chuttan will probably say something to the extent that you drove my love away, so I never remarried. Do you want Munna to suffer the same fate or what?

Putting in two negative cycles days after each other looks odd from the CV's- atleast they could've had some good Shauri moments before shunting the Shuklas off to Benares- would've borne this nautanki by seeing those epis.

The really whimsical characters are the side ones (Urmila's husband, Dadi's daughter and son-in-law), none of whom Gauri will have to deal with on a daily basis. Dadi and Amma also come into that category, but we expect Dadi to come around, so Amma will be the only one left.

Thing though is that Aai is expected to come with Gauri. That makes things a little complicated- if there is an initial rejection again from Dadi, then Aai is unlikely to make Gauri stay too long in Benares. Plus Amma is unlikely to leave any chance to have a swipe at Aai, which Gauri will not tolerate.

I'd actually have preferred Venu and Mitu to accompany Gauri to Benares.

Tomorrow to be the reveal to Aai Baba that Dadi has said no, or will it be Monday?
