All the actors of skr are amazing even Ashish n madi too bit the portrait of their characters is not up to to their capacity that's why it lacks perfection ,such larger than life mythological character of ram n siya is being ruined with each surpassing episode ,the sprinkler of feminism by sita is annoying and helpless ram is also damn annoying
As ramyan is not limited to any social terms its just reflection of different shades of society and what an ideal person can opt even in worse situation ,and about individuals duty towards diff aspects of societyMany episodes of skr were awesome earlier and both Ashish n madi alsoBut as skr started mixing diff local ramyan version it get worseSita's character were good till hanuman meet but after that her little little bhashan start making it as "dharam-guru",Skr makers and writers have ruines such a lovely cast and their capacity.
I was just talking to Janu about the same thing yesterday - towards the beginning of the show, I wasn't thrilled with the distortions of the Ayodhya rajparivaar as some class-conscious misogynistic hellhole. But as far as Ashish and Madirakshi's performances were concerned, I was close to considering them the first SiyaRam that I was really convinced by from the start after the version I grew up with - particularly Ashish during Ahilya Uddhaar and Madirakshi during the Vishwamitra Ashram track. It just blows my mind that the same actor who showed that potential portrayed post Sita Haran Ram as an OTT Tarzan and that same actress who knew how to blend faith/confidence in God's protection with humility somehow mangled every such scene later on into haughtiness and condescension. Which leads me to agree with you fully - that the actors had the talent that was needed, but they were misled by the (new?) writers and director into showing the wrong emotions for the character at the wrong time.
