Let me give you the math.

Let us say there are 20 of us and we all tweet 10 tweets, and RT all the other's tweets.

So 1 person does => 20 + 180 (RTs) = 200 tweets

So for 10 people => 200*10 = 2000 tweets.

EKDV FC has 7000 odd followers. Even if 1000 of them take to twitter and if we have to trend we have to do it in approximately the same time frame.

So 1 person does => 20 + 1980 = 2000 tweets

And 1000 people => 2000 * 1000 =>200000 tweets

And to trend we may not even need to do half of this.

And we were no were close to that today, in fact even on Sunday. Honestly I don't know what will happen etc, but I think while we are at it we should put up one hell of a fight, the result not withstanding.

So please next trend alert, tweet 20 of your tweets first and then RT everything that you see when you search by the hashtag, RTing only tweets of whom we follow or who follows us may not get us that number.
