We were the first one's to tell you that Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor were coming together for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati. BollywoodLife also EXCLUSIVELY revealed to you how the preproduction work for the film is going on full fledged and a set was being made at the Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai. We even told you that this particular set will be used to shoot a song featuring Deepika Padukone and now we have some more information for you. We now have details about Deepika's first song and dance from Padmavati.
The Padmavati shoot will begin with Deepika's dance number, for which the actress will start training now. It will be shot at the Mehboob set where the queen's Water Palace from the Chittorgarh fort has been recreated. The first song sequence will be a Rajasthani dance style - ghoomar. As source revealed to Mumbai Mirror, "Folk dancers from Rajasthan will be flown in for the song. They will be seen alongside Deepika as well as train her. The set at Mehboob studio, where the song will be shot, is almost ready."
Talking more about the sets, our source told us EXCLUSIVELY, "The set at Mehboob studios is a small set. You will see the interiors of a big palace on the set. The full interior is going to be white and the whole set will be completed in a weeks time. A few scenes and a song will be shot on this set, before moving to the actual set at the Goregoan Film city."
Yes, similar to Bajirao Mastani, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is erecting a huge set at the Goregoan Film City, Mumbai where the majority of the film will be shot. You will see a huge palace along with a few other small sets being constructed at the Film City for Padmavati. Ain't that cool?

It was reported that SLB had promised Shahid a meatier role, which didn't go down well with the Bajirao Mastani actor. The whole fight started when Deepika refused to have a small star as her husband in the film. Shah Rukh Khan and Fawad Khan had rejected the part of Deepika's husband in the film coz it was not prominent enough. Sanjay then turned to Shahid Kapoor who agreed to sign Padmavati if the role was improved. SLB agreed, but Ranveer got offended!
