Thanks. I am extremely impressed by Sona's character. She is an extremely strong woman. And yes, you are right. Unlike Dixit oblivious family where one might be dying and no one even bothered checking unless it's Ishwari, Bose family pays attention to each other's happiness.

Even if one person in Bose family shed tears, the rest of the family gets affected. No one's pain is more important than other, no one's emotions are more of a priority than others. That is how a family should be, not a priority system.

Sona has seen what her heartbreak did to her family. They were the innocent one who only wanted their child to be happy. Yet every tear she sheds impacts their happiness. She is bearing her pain, Dev's pain and her family's pain. And for what reason? For someone who is no one to her.

Dev can tell himself that he did it for his mom and be content at the glory of sacrifice. What does Sona have? She had to live with the knowledge that she is responsible for her family's worries.

So she locked away her pain, pasted a smile on her face and tried to make the people happy who never let her down.

That takes courage, that takes love and that takes nerve of steel.

And the writers are too sensitive to Dev-Ish that they don't want anything to spoil them... 😆

Not sure what they will do to Sona by bringing her into their equation... Just like that Ishu accepts them for her dear 'SON' SAKE and she does the SACRIFICE of her possessive son.. Sona being the understanding sensible soul will join the Dev adoration troupe to start "Ishwari" fanclub...

I am again dreading the day when Dev-Sona will make Ishu sit in the pooja room and they become the pandits praying the praises of their GOD!!!

Another awesome post.
Dev is in a prison of his own choosing and only he can break it. But anyways I am sure the process of de-godification of Ishwari has started sub consciously in Dev though he is yet to realise it.

In addition to lying to her and not obeying her orders, on some sub conscious level he must have realised that his God is unable to understand him and his feelings.

But something much bigger than the precap drama should take place to make Dev act the way he does in the promo.

Because there are still 3 episodes left and that would be enough time for Ishwari to emotionally blackmail him again.

Or else the precap happens on Friday and Dev in the backdrop of all that has happened finally realises that his mother betrayed him?

Not likely. Then there has to be some other trigger.

I absolutely loved your post. Thank you for this.
Dev is what he is because of his mother. That's an established fact. But like you said, you can only bring the glass to a person's mouth. You can't force someone to drink it.
Sonakshi has always been the better person between them. But the woman in me did feel cheated yesterday when I realized Dev might not have to apologize for his mistakes once this mess clears up. Sonakshi has already forgiven him. Maybe I can attribute this as having a weak moment on seeing the man she loves in the state he was in.
The makers know how to take full advantage of Shaheer to gain sympathy for Dev. Almost the entire forum has quickly turned Team Dev after yesterday's episode. And then there are people like me, who are still begging for a redemption track? I wonder if this is too much to ask from a desi show. I was attracted to the nuanced performances and subtle approach of the makers and thought they would actually do justice to a character like Sonakshi Bose.
The mahaepisode is what I'm truly worried about. I felt bad for Dev yesterday, but the Dev from the promo scared me. If they pull off anything preposterous in the mahaepisode I don't think I'll be able to continue watching. Dev fainting is probably the lamest idea ever. It would've made more sense had sona fainted. From the immense emotional pressure, stress and pain of watching the man she loves stand before her and put on a brave face as she tries to get engaged to R. Dev standing there stoically with a brave face, for once keeping Sonakshi's needs above his own is what I want. His eyes will convey the pain he's in, I trust Shaheer on that. Well this is all just speculation on my part, will have to watch the episode to see what they come up with. But given the current state, I'm not keeping high hopes.

Glad to see the hopes for Dev coming from you...🤗 Let's see whether there is any change at all in that equation... I would love to see that anyway... Not at the cost of Ish crying and filling buckets... Mom-son gotta talk face to face about what's happening.. not about what's happened.. They have nothing else to talk other than what they did for each other long long looonnnggg aggooo...

Zero expectations from Dev still intact in me and that makes me feel calm and composed even after seeing all his dramatic ways of dealing with things 😆.. And at times I could even sympathize with him... Yes, sympathy it is.. nothing else as of now... I see him victimizing himself and just how long or forever?! Never mind... The makers have too much of soft-corner for Dev-Ish... 😆 Like a parent being too much supportive and defensive of their weaker child... 😉

Thanks. 😊 I am trying to be hopeful or may be some sane behaviour at last by Dev has encouraged me.

Ishwari is a hopeless case and will cry buckets as that is her most potent weapon. Tears and her sermon on 'Main aur meri mahaanta'

That is going to continue till the day she lives. The only thing to be seen is whether Dev is at least able to defy her on things that matter.

The Dev in promo looked hurt, determined and assertive. If he has resolved his issues with Sona then he has to be angry with mummy. And hopefully wants to get back what belongs to him i. e Sona

I live in eternal hope😆

I don't know about spoiler. But if I was writing the story, I'd show Dev to get totally broken after his mother's betrayal. And if I want to show any chance of Dev and Sona's reconciliation, then I would show that Dev is slowly understanding that his mother is human, not God and come out of her oppressing influence. Until Dev becomes his own person, Sona can't be with him.

Also Ishwari needs to realize that Dev is no longer under her power and she can't play him like a puppet on a string anymore. Until then, she will continue to blame Sona instead of analyzing her own behaviour.

They both need to take off these perfect glasses from their eyes. Ishwari needs to realize Dev is not the perfect little boy anymore. He is a man with man's needs and desire. And Dev needs to realize that Ishwari is not God who is above any mistakes or negativity. She is just a woman with a lot of insecurity and issues.

Yeah well. While I can feel sorry for him for his pain but those are self-inflicted wounds. He has tied his own hands because he refuses to see his mother for who she is.

I feel more sorry for Sona because there is nothing worse than knowing that everything could have been fine, if things were in her control. Her hands are tied by circumstances. Nothing she can do would make Dev face reality about his mother.

Only Ishwari can do that when her deeds are revealed. But again she is a master manipulator and Dev is very weak in front of her. So not much hope there either. She has that siren's song she sings of their past hardship and he blindly walks into one bad decision after another.
