A different perspective of prachi

Read at your own risk. I know this forum is highly supported by Prachi but as some of you may know, I am not a Prachi Desai fan.

I would like to know what is so great in her that we overlook other actresses? If it is the fact that she is young then there are plenty of young celebs out there. For example, I don't know if many of you have heard of Hannah Montanna (miley Cyrus) but she is only 15 and is a self made millionaire. She acts, she sings, she pretty much can and will do anything. Yet, there was still not as much hype around her as there is much around Prachi.

If one argues that she is great because she is amazing actress then I think somewhere in that sentence/thought there is something wrong. She is only 19. She has a long way to go before she can become the best of the best. Compare her to Smirti, there is a lot of difference.

Neither am I Prachi's dancing fan. I watched her dance in a few episodes of JDJ and I think, (my personal opinion) she sucked. I believe her whole entry in JDJ was a publicity stunt. She should have never come back in the wild card. Obviously the audience voted to kick her off then why this re-entry? She was off beat, her facial expressions weren't that great, and she wasn't as prepared as she should be. I saw maybe a slight difference but nothing to praise about.

If articles have been printed saying that she threw tantrums then why do you'll not believe them? One media outlet can lie but not all. Fame does change a person, in her case its ending up to be in a negative direction. At first, I used to think she was bearable but now she is going around pretending like she is everything. The only reason she is making it til now is because she managed to get on Ekta's good side and landed up being her "blue eyed" girl.

If Prachi decides to leave KS, the show will go on. I don't know if many of you'll remember the show kusum, well the main character Kusum was played by three different actresses. It lasted for I believe five years or so.

Lastly, her big movie project, how can there be so much excitement for a movie with no famous bollywood celebrities. It isn't a comeback of anysort for anyone. It is just one television actress going on the big screens. That's it.

I personally have seen plenty of posts of why she is great. I thought to change things up why not see one of how she isn't great. I know I will probably get mercilessly attacked by people on the forum but just like you, I do have the right to voice my opinion.

I hope I have not offended anyone. I kept this as polite as I could. I am still holding back a great deal but I am trying to follow the forum rules.

Look, I respect ur opinion & fully agree that you do have rights to express wat you feel. But i'm sorry to say i compleatly dis agree with you in many points. Thant's all i wants to say aft reading ur opinion on prachi!!

well as far as her dancing abilities go i think sandhya is wayyyyyy better..other than that yes she goes have a long way to go with her ekta mai guiding her along e way.but she is talented no doubt..

PD is an amazing

Jigna it takes a year to make a star, everyone kajol, aiswaryia and rani all had to work hard to get to the top. along the way you take knocks which hopefully will bring you down to earth. One can have talent but it should not go to your head.

Adulation is something to beware of, the same people who love you now can also bring you down too. As for media articles etc. they are printed to do a job...to get your attentions...negative and positive...time will tell how far Prachi will go because it will depend on her attitude to fame.

Finally a very refreshing post. I very much agree with you. When I starting watching KS, I found Prachi emotionless. No matter what type of scene, she never showed appropriate emotions on her face. Then when she entered JDJ, I thought good, this will help her not only with her dancing but her expressions. Well I was wrong. I don't think she deserved the best actress award. There were much better choices. I don't think it is the age. I think she has been over hyped and it has gone to her head. I mean look at Deepika, from OSO, she is level headed and very mature for her 18 years of age. I don't think Prachi shows maturity at all, and eventually people that think it is cute now, will soon start to get irritated.

I partly agree with you - I do think that she is not fantastically amazing, but I do like her. I think that she is a great actress with even more potential - she has not reached teh pinnacle or even half of her potential yet on screen and I wait to see that.

As far as her dancing goes, I do think that she is one of teh best dancers on the show - her entry has been talked to death on teh Jhalak forum - but the whole WC entry was done to garner TRP's - I don't think that it had anything to do with Prachi or Ekta. I personally prefer her to Sandhya, because I find her to be arrogant and over-confident and her expressions are not good whilst she dances.

Having said that - even though I do like Prachi - I am amazed to see all these topics about how great she is or how amazing she is. I agree that she is good and that its not easy working full time from teh age of 17 and getting all this fame is commendable, but there are other people who have done it also.

But one thing that I do believe is that without Prachi there is no KS - not because Prachi is sooo fantastic an actress that KS wont be able to survive, but the fat that with a new person KS will no longer hold the same magic. I mean I don't even watch KS now, I only read the updates, and might ocassionally watch an episode, but thats about it. I agree with your Kkhusum analogy, because I used to love watching that, but as soon as they changed Nausheen, I stopped watching it.
