I think completely blaming Dev for not reading his mom is a little unfair. Ishwari is at fault as well. Ishwari should talk to her son about it instead of lying to him and pretending to be all right.
I agree that Dev should talk to his mom about his relationship with Sonakshi but he's always been like that from day 1. He doesn't really share his feelings with her(when it actually matters) in fear of her reaction to them. Before it was his problems related to work and life in general and now it's Sonakshi.Dev and Ishwari's relationship is not your typical mom and Son relationship. It's complicated to say the least!😆I will come back and share my thoughts about it in a small while though😊P.S I honesly think if we should pity someone it should be Sona who's going to suffer the most without any fault of hers. Not Dev or Ishwari.

Its a complicated situationDev as an individual deserves love in his love , he deserves happiness why should he be the one sacrificing all the time .The way I see Ishwari , Dev is her support system , the one she can trust to filfull the responsibilities she entrust on him . he is that person that pulled them out of povety and because of Ishwari he was educated so she as a mother believes her son will never hide anything from her .But logical speaking when a guy falls in love it takes him a while before he speaks to his parents sure Dev's responsibility is first to his mother but that does not mean he should not be happy in loveIshwari always said Dev needs a good girl and she herself have said Sona is a good girl then now she should confront both instead of stressing and making Dev feel guilty for been in love
Well I dont sympathise Iswari..
She had him for 27 years !😆 Its time to pass the baton to someone else!😉The poor chap for the first time in his life fell in love, and also with a person he least expected to ! Ms Bose. They need time to get to know one another...even though they confess they love each other. They still have the right to go through the whole dating process...there's nothing wrong in that and he will tell Iswari when the times comes...let him enjoy these moments with Sona. Dev worked so hard to where he is today and surely he deserves some happiness to enjoy privately.Iswari is feeling very insecure to see the changes in Dev but Dev is still the same with his mother in terms of caring for her...he never neglected her in any way.The only person I am afraid might get hurt is Sona...

Its a complicated situation thats true!!Telling Ishwari about Sona is not making a sacrifice!! Its making everything easier for everyone! I understand what you are saying buts its hard for me to feel bad for him. Like I said, we see Ishwari suffering these episodes so I just feel bad for her and I feel that she is in a very vulnerable position. Moreover, no matter if her trust on him is misplaced or wrong or how that trust puts so much burden on him, its going to be devastating to see that trust shatter. She feels connected to Dev, she considers her ONLY support system, he is not only her support, but the only male presence in her life so although Dev does deserve his happiness, he also has a duty towards her. He should be not burdened with this but he is and he should realise that. And no matter how unfair, and wrong I may sound, he should put her above everything else!

I do not find Ishwari to be a good mother... Any mother who differentiates between her kids is wrong... In fact I'd b ashamed if my daughter would ever come up to me and say that I'm only the sons mother... Ishwari felt bad momentarily but goes back to being only Devs mom.
I sometimes feel sorry for her but again I fail to understand why she does what she does... So I just get pissed off. Even in Devs case her approach is one sided... What's imp in her eyes is correct... Rest she aint bothered about.
