@Mitali a good analysis. Some of the finer points of Sumo's argument I will put it. Yes Ramnath was an excellent lawyer. He gave her a deal in which she rightly said whatever she takes she loses. But for me Sumo won as a woman.

Look at the way Ramnath tried to put the blame back on her telling she didn't care for her family. For her, her self respect was more important. He couldn't take the slap of the cheque she gave him and told him she will fund her sister's marriage somehow as she is a working woman. Ramnath became a typical man whatever a woman does he puts the blame on the woman.

Suman's best dialogues were she will not come between Ramnath and Shravan. Open clause Ramnath cannot stop Shravan coming between them and it is her faith that he will come. He will come between Ramnath and Suman. Today Ramnath asked Shravan to wait, to test. And Suman will pass the test standing by him when he needs her the most. Yesterday between coffee shop and Preeti's marriage, she chose Preeti's marriage because that was priority she has to repay what her extended family has done to her. Once she repays that, a situation will come where Shravan will need her the most. A woman prioritizes and manages her work. Ramnath doesn't understand that, but Shravan will understand.

Next beauty was one who doesn't respect oneself, one's thoughts, doesn't love oneself cannot love anyone else. Ramnath is not sure of what is happiness for him. Is it controlling woman, controlling people around him. You control because you fear. Suman has no need to control. Her actions will ensure she is respected and people will follow her.

Ramnath spoke about 2 drivers. He forgot to drive someone needs directions. In a marriage at times husband has to be in driver seat wife taking direction and certain times wife sits in the driver seat, with husband taking direction. Ability to switch places as per the need of the situation makes a marriage success. Both partners should know how to drive and how to give direction also. You never know what life throws at and who will be forced to take the mantle. He will know that very soon.

@Mitali post deletion happens to me many times in IF. So as a practice I always type in word my long winding analysis especially that of SKR and then put it in IF. Next time try that so that your wonderful analysis is not lost.

I know you are frustrated as your long post got deleted. Believe me, this one is equally beautiful. In spite of your health issue, you have managed to deliver and your effort is applauded worthy.

I have always loved Sumo and Ek Duje Ke Vasste but your post makes me want to love Sumo even more. You have analysed her in such a beautiful manner Mittu that I cannot add anything else.

Take care and help us relate to the characters through your analysis like you do always.

Such a beautiful post of one of the most beautiful episodes of EDKV. Kudos to you- you have analysed it all so perfectly.👏

It was a perfectly pitched episode no over the top drama or yelling from either Ramnath or Sumo. Sumos dilemma in choice between her extended family (who has done so much for her) and Shravan was so well portrayed through the flash backs. How wonderfully these flashbacks have been woven into the present story in EDKV, they actually fit in like pieces of jigsaw leaving few open ends and as a result of which you can actually understand the characters, their flaws and all.

And Suman's responses to each of Ramnath's views about love, relationships, working women, her future with Shravan, were such gems, subtly delivered but each a slap on Ramnath's face and his beliefs.

And the last part where she throws the question to Ramnath of what when Shravan realises he too loves Suman (which Ramnath knows already)- just brilliant. Hopefully left with that thought, Ramanth does not end up plotting more and mess with Shravan's thoughts any further than what he is currently doing. Kamini needs wake up to the active role played by bhaisaab in the PreeKar marriage and expose him soon.

But believe me, after reading every post written by your poor broken hand , I sigh LOUDLY, with deep satisfaction. Even the echo around me enjoys your feel for emotions.

That's why that bustard could think that he could make a deal
For him everything is a deal
And that's where Sumo caught him that no doubt he was a good lawyer but he could never be a good father
And ShraMan's love can't be sealed with a deal
Their love is beyond everything
So beautifully you described it sweetheart 👏

Yes, today Sumo was the at her best with respect to her inner strength! Giving up one of her dreams that was cherished for soo many years is not easy!

But she had no options but to give it up as she had to keep up so many others dreams alive! She had to give it up for their love that they had given her all these years!
She still has hopes that she may see her dream come true one day!

Whom did he love at the first place? Is this his love for his son? Can he not see how much his son loves Sumo? DId he ever love his wife Nirmala? Or did he ever love his extended family? He is ready to give up Peekars marriage if his deal fails! Now he is ready to bring Preethi as Pushkar's wife inspite of Kamini disliking her? Does he love Pushkar or even Kamini?(as his bro's wife). They are all his part of family! I still remember in the initial episodes he what told SHravan no matter what happens his family should stay together! Isn't this forced living? All to satisfy his ego?

Sumo said it well "aapko zindagi ka thajurba hai per pyaar ka naihn.."
