Kavita Shyam A still from Kajjal Mohnish Behl was roped in to play a don in Kajjal. Barely did he shoot for one day, when the channel decided to pull it off air. A lot of money and thought had gone behind Mohnish's look and role but the actor had to let go of it after elaborate preparations and even promo shoots. Mohnish was to play musician-turned-don, and his look was inspired by Keanu Reeves in the film Matrix. Apparently, the actor was really disappointed when he got to know that the show had to be wrapped up. Says Mohnish, "I was signed for Kajjal and I did shoot for one day but a couple of days later, the channel decided to pull it off air. Mohnish Behl They told me that it was not advisable to go ahead as it didn't benefit the production house to sign an expensive actor and not establish the character. It was the production house's call. It is upsetting as I had an interesting look and was really looking forward to it, and the creative team had worked hard on it. I was told that there was no point in having me in the show even if the TRPs were going to go up as it was going to wind up any way. It's unfortunate!" Says Misha Gautam, producer, "We had a mind-blowing role for Mohnish. We spent about Rs 4 lakh on the promos. Now the show is going off air, we can feel the monetary loss and the fact that we lost out on a fabulous actor. We are also upset since we had worked out the character well and were looking forward to his entry to boost the TRPs of the show." The Kajjal unit shoots for the show on December 10 for the last time, and the show will go off air on Decemeber 20. Mohnish is currently working in Star One's Dil Mill Gaye and has a few film assignments.

Dont worry Mohnish Behl, you should be happy that you are not part of Kacon jii 😆 😆 because belive me when you were worked with her then you will always think when you wil be free from her... so trust GOD!! God wil give you all the good things and wil show you the right way!!You are a good actor and one day you wil get a big succed.. 😛

I agree with you Komal, instead of making the show further tasteless, they should have just ended it on a sweet note on September 6th, with Dev Kajjal living happily in marital bliss. Extending it, they've achieved absolutely nothing. Nor has the storyline improved nor as the new actors benefitted anything from it !
