Sumo might be very impetuous when it comes to her personal life, but as an entrepreneur she certainly knows her stuff.

I liked the bit in the episode where she tells Preetha to send feedback forms to all the clients. This is one of the many instances in the show which shows clever writing.

It not only delineates Sumo as an independent woman with strong business sense and an identity of her own, which in itself a rarity on Indian TV, but as a detail also meshes with what they showed yesterday about the client's complaint and how it impacted her friendship with Shravan.

It's what draws me to the show again and again- no loose ends or logical fallacies, amazing characterization, and attention to detail. LOVE it.😊

Yup.. that's one of the things that make EDKV different.
In hindi shows, generally, even so called business tycoons are always at home, all suited up of course. 😆

Sometimes I just get overwhelmed with the top notch writing we get to witness on this show.😭

And I can't even remember when was the last a telly female lead was making such sound business decisions (Ekta's overnight brilliant business women don't count😆).

Thanks, all !

Love the comment about the suited business tycoons😆 Makes you appreciate the realism of the show all the more.

That day at the restaurant, sumo made a comment about how the customer is king. And today, s he emphasised the importance of getting feedback and improving quality. Just love the consistency...

Yeah your right. Good writing does not waste and does not leave loose ends. You introduce a character or a scenario with an end goal in mind. I know this coz I write myself, and that is how a story is written. You have a purpose behind everything you do.

I read the interview with Dilip Jha and he had said that he wanted Sumo to be a woman that other women can relate to, and identify with some aspect of her. I identify with that independent business woman spirit. The customer feedback thing was a good touch. I am sure Dilip Jha has worked with a lot of women since he is from a corporate background. So he know how women can be professionals too, not just Bahu, Beti and Biwi. I think the good thing is that women are shown in a balanced way. Not in one linear way. Especially women like Nirmala and Sumo.
