I do not think JWM was that special .Its a decent movie but not the one that comes once in a lifetime.

Haider it was a good movie bt it was boring I couldn't watch it for more than an hour. Even the pc and ranbir 1 were he was a mute. I dnt knw why I cnt ever watch that movie completely. I have watched it 3 times bt all times bits and pieces of it. PK its a good movie bt never understood what was the hype was about. MNIK loved that movie I dnt understand why ppl dnt like it. I loved it.

Too many to name...I watched BM and everyone was praising Ranveer but I thought ranveer was over acting in the movie and I did not like his look or acting in the movie. I still think Lootera is his best movie til date.

Surprised to see DDLJ mentioned here few times, agree it's most overrated, I find everything about it below average (except the songs) it was so underwhelming

Of course the likes of Raj Kapoor or Satyajit Ray were appreciated but movies like Devdas, K3G and Laagan contributed to boost Indian cinema which appeal was declining with showing at Cannes for Devdas and BAFTA nomination, Oscar nomination for Laagan, K3G was a phenomenal succes at the time of its release and was even shown in countries were Indian commercial films weren't traditionally shown.

The fact that SRK and Aishwarya were the one invited to meet the French President illustrate how much of an impact these movies had.

That doesn't mean movies like Devdas, Lagaan were any better than RajKapoor movies

India has changed and India's position in the world has changed... There's lots of politics involved in Oscar and other nominations nowadays...

Most people in the West still think Indian movies are pretty campy
