Chapter 14

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?"

Akash shouted at the top of his voice and everyone came running to the living room.

Throwing the papers on floor, he held Payal's arms tightly and shouted, "Don't even think about that Payal!"

Freeing herself from his hold, she said calmly, "Why are you getting angry Akash? You never wanted me in your life. So when I'm going away from you forever, why are you getting angry?"

"I WON'T SIGN THESE DIVORCE PAPERS!"Akash shouted.

"YOU HAVE TO! COME ON, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WIHT YOU? FIRST YOU KICKED ME OUT AND NOW WHEN I MYSELF WANT TO GO OUT OF YOUR LIFE, YOU ARE NOT LETTING ME GO! ARE YOU INSANE?" Payal said.

Akash chuckled and said, "I don't want you in my life! s**ts like you doesn't have a place in my life. BUT I WANT MY SON WITH ME! HE IS MY SON, MY BLOOD AND RAIZADA HEIR! HE WILL STAY WITH ME!"

"IN YOUR DREAMS AKASH! ADI WILL STAY WITH ME! YOU KNEW THAT I'M PREGNANT! STILL YOU KICKED ME OUT! YOU WANTED TO TAKE A DNA TEST OF ADI SO THAT YOU CAN BE SURE THAT HE IS YOUR SON! AND NOW, YOU WANT HIM TO BE WITH YOU! NEVER, EVER WILL I LET THAT HAPPEN!" Payal shouted.

"I'LL FILE CASE IN COURT!" Akash shouted.

"GO AHEAD! I HAVE ENOUGH PROOFS AND WITNESSES TO PROVE THAT YOU MISTREATED ME AND KICKED ME OUT DURING MY PREGNANCY AND YOU EVEN WENT TO THE EXTENT TO TAKE DNA TEST OF MY SON!" Payal shouted.

"YOU..." Akash began when Aman shouted,

"STOP IT!"

Everyone looked at him.

Aman glared at both of them and said, "Are you both out of your brain? Your voices will be heard upstairs! Adi is hearing you all! So lower your voice!"

"I'M SPEAKING TO MY WIFE! YOU STAY OUT OF THIS!" Akash shouted.

"HE HAS ALL RIGHTS TO INTERFERE IN MY MATTERS MR. RAIZADA!" Payal shouted.

"Oh, I forgot, he is your boyfriend right?" Akash mocked.

Aman rolled his eyes and Arnav said, "Akash, mind your words or else I'm gonna slap you!"

"Why? He is right!" Mami said, "Hello hi bye bye, we all know why Aman is interested in this wh**e's matters. He is her boyfriend!"

"Akash," Dadi said, "I still think we should take Adi's DNA test. That boy is really good but who knows if he is your son or not! Don't trust this wh**e? She must have slept with..."

Subadra Malik couldn't continue something hit her head.

Everyone widened their eyes in shock seeing many eggs flying to Subadra's head!

Everyone turned back and saw the four pranksters standing on the stairs and throwing eggs on Subadra.

"FOUR PRANKSTERS, ATTACK!!!!!!" Ruhaan commanded and everyone threw more and more eggs at Subadra.

"WHAT THE HELL! YOU LITTLE BRATS...STOP IT!" Anjali shouted and Akash turned to Arnav, "BHAI, ASK YOUR KIDS TO BE IN LIMITS!"

"FIRST YOU SHOULD BE IN LIMITS Akash" Arnav shouted, "Then we'll ask our kids to be limits!"

Pranksters stopped their actions and came down and stood before Subadra who was now yellow in colour and was stinking to hell.

"One more word against Payal maasi, YOU'RE DEAD!" Ruhaan said dangerously.

"What do you think, we are so small and cannot understand what DNA test, wh**e and s**ts mean?" Adi asked, "Thanks to you people. During out stay here for some days, you have used these words many times against our parents that we kids out of curiosity googled it and found out the meaning!"

"SO, IF YOU INSULT OUR PARENTS ANYMORE, WE'RE GONNA PLAN SOMETHING BIG THAN WHAT HAPPENED WITH POOJA THAAL!" Ruhi shouted.

Turning to Anjali, Ruhaan said, "The dog licked you. The next time, it may bite you! Remember that!"

And the three kids walked upstairs with little Sonu in Ruhi's arms.

Adi turned and said to Akash, "No need to file custody case on court! No matter how much you try, I WON'T STAY WITH YOU! So don't even try!" And he walked away.

Evening pooja was going on downstairs and Payal was singing the aarti while Devyani Singh Raizada sat in her room staring at the blank wall.

Her mind went back to those days when they all used to be a one big happy family! But, now...it's all broken! Her family is broken beyond repair! Tears fell down her eyes recalling Payal's and Khushi's tears when Akash and Anjali had accused them, 10 years ago!

She was also at fault!

She knew that Shyam was wrong, Anjali and Akash were wrong! She knew everything! But still, she chose to be silent. She hoped that everything would be alright but didn't foresee Arnav leaving the house along with Khushi, Payal and NK. She didn't foresee Akash blaming Payal's character! Still, she chose to be silent!

Devyani felt disgusted about herself. Guilty feeling haunted her like it did for the past 10 years. Every time she tries to sleep peacefully, her Arnav bitwa's shocked and teary face comes before her. Her mind runs back to the moment where her favourite grandchild had looked at her hoping that she would support him. She recalled his disappointment and disbelief when she looked away. And Khushi bitiya...the look she had on her face hearing all the insults Akash was hurling at her husband and jiji. And Payal bitiya...she was questioned on her morality. Akash disowned the child in her womb! And why didn't she open her mouth? WHY?

Devyani Singh Raizada wished the earth to split apart and swallow her. She wished that the pain ends! She wished for a good sleep which she never got for the past 10 years!

Sticking on to the bed, Shyam Jha looked at the ceiling of the servant room which is allocated for him and his wife!

He narrowed his eyebrows seeing the small room and wondered how HP, JP and OP lived here all these years!

"Well, how long with this go saalesaheb?" He sneered to himself, "I won't let you win! Khushi ji, she is mine! And so is this property! It's Shyam Manohar Jha's oath! I will own this property no matter how much you try!"

It was 10 pm at night and the four pranksters were at Adi's room.

"So how much is it?" Adi asked.

"Rs: 100 from Sonu, 1000 from Ruhaan and 1500 from me," Ruhi said.

"And 5000 from me!" Adi said placing his share.

"Haww...you have so much pocket money Adi bhaiyya!" Ruhi said.

Adi chuckled and said, "I save money unlike you three who run and buy ice-cream when your parents give money!"

Ruhaan pouted and Sonu giggled.

Ruhi counted and said, "So that's Rs: 7600!"

"So what will we buy for Aman uncle?" Ruhaan asked.

"I think we should order online!" Adi said.

Ruhi ran and brought the laptop and the four pranksters searched and finalized one.

"Aman uncle is gonna love this!" Ruhi said.

Everyone nodded and Adi ordered the gift.

"I wanna see his face when we gift him this!" Ruhaan said.

"God, please skip one day and start the next morning on Aman uncle's birthday! I cannot wait anymore!" Ruhi said with pout and everyone laughed.

Payal changed into her night dress and walked to the wardrobe taking out the brand new saree she had bought.

Caressing her fingers over the dark blue chiffon saree she smiled. She walked to the mirror and placed the saree on her shoulder and smiled at her reflection.

It's been 10 years that she had worn a saree. The last she worn was the day she left RM and after long 10 years, she is gonna wear it again. If she had worn it in the past when her marriage ended, today, after 10 years she is gonna wear it for a new start!

Do I look beautiful?' She asked at herself.

Her conscious on beauty died the day she stepped out of RM. She was least bothered on how she looks. All she had in her mind was her son! She lived for him and her baby sister! She stopped her makeup and all sorts of cosmetics no matter how much Lavanya and Khushi force her to. And today, after 10 long years, she is conscious on how she looks.

Lifting her fingers, Payal caressed her cheeks which once used to be deep red under the gaze of Akash. She looked at her face at the mirror which looks much changed than before.

In fact, it was after 10 years that she was noticing her face! She looks old, pale and worn out! It was as if it's lifeless! Gulping her throat, she unpinned her hair which she had tied in a bun. Her long hair fell open and caressed her shoulders. She held some strands and laid to her front.

Looking at herself, she whispered, Why does he love me? What does he see in me?'

She moved her hand to her neck which once used to be adorned by a mangalsutra. She caressed her empty neck and after 10 long years, she realized in horror how much her neck looks empty! In horror she realized how much she looks different!

She ran to the washroom and washed her face over and over again. Holding the wash basin tightly, she looked at the mirror above it and whispered,

I need to be the old Payal! The same Payal who had emotions! The same Payal whose heart was filled with love, not hatred! The same Payal who loved to live her life, who knew to live her life!'

She closed her eyes and whispered, I cannot live this life anymore! I need someone to hold me! I need you...Aman...'

She opened her eyes and realized the truth!

In horror, Payal Guptas realized that she is ready to give Aman a chance not because Adi needs him but because SHE NEEDS HIM!

PRECAP

Aman was sleeping peacefully when he felt something wet hit his body. He chose to ignore it and murmured something inaudible and drifted into sleep.

But he again felt something wet on his body and slightly opened his eyes. Leaning to the bed table, he switched on the lights and sat up on the bed.

What is it?" He asked to himself and sat confused when suddenly the MP3 played in the room began to work.

Aman chuckled hearing the voice from the MP3 player. It is Rockstar Ruhaan's voice, he knew it!
