8.The McDonald's Order

I sighed as I walked in and a cool blast of air hit my face. It was such a relief to escape from the sweltering heat of Delhi. The whole place was abuzz with conversations and it was filled with children, it was a Sunday after all.

My phone rang and I swiped right and held it against my ear as I fetched my purse from my bag.

"Where are you?" Shravan asked as I stepped in the queue.

"I reached, will be home in 15."

"Okay, thanks by the way, and bye."

I smiled at the guy behind the counter as I approached him.

"Namaste maam, welcome to Mc Donalds, what is your order?"

And as I rambled away, I realised that I was very familiar with what he usually has at Mc-Donalds- less lettuce, extra cheese, no ice in the coke.

And then I smiled to myself.

If that is not love, then I don't know what is.

It has been ten years since I last saw your face, ten years since you spoke to me, ten years since we grew apart.

And all the languages in the world would not be able to explain the rush I feel when I hear your name.
