Story has taken 7 years leap. Some pooja is organized in palace & Kaal's wife Ambika is ready with pooja thali alongwith Rajpurohitji. Kaal enters as wellgroomed, wellmannered man. Now he is the King of Ameerkot. Rageshwari also joins Kaal. Kaal asks Ambika to give pooja thali to Rag saying today Rag will sit with him for the pooja. Rag. looks down on Ambika & takes pooja thali from her. Ambika looks on sadly. Rag. tells Kaal British quit India & him, her and Ameerkot - everything changed in this 7 yrs but since last 7 yrs, every yr on this day why he performs Gayatri's Shraddh? He replies he performs the shraddh not for Gayatri & her daughter but for the uncivilized savage Kaal who also died that day and a civilized, refined man Kaal was born who is Ameerkot's King now. Gayatri & her daughter's sacrifice only made this possible hence to commemorate them he performs this shraddh. Rag. gloats that her happy life is built over the remains of Gayatri & her daughter and nobody can challenge her happiness now. Ambika is sad.
In Hameerpur village, RaGa's daughter Rani is playing Hututu. She is wearing Ambe Maa locket and seeks Goddess' blessings by touching the locket to her forehead and then succeeds in making the girls team win against boys team. The kids request her to go to palace to help Birju's ailing father but she refuses as her Dadi (RM) & Baba(Lakhan) have forbidden her to go to palace. The kids coax her into stealing some foodgrain from palace granary for Birju's father's sake. Then the boys wait outside the palace & Rani sneaks in the granary. While taking the cereals in her bag, she gets caught by a guard but manages to escape by throwing some cereals in his eyes. Guards chase her so she prays Hanumanji to save her from them and in return she'll offer him 2 Laddus! The boys run away seeing the guards and Rani gets hit by car while trying to escape. She falls on ground. BRM comes out of the car. Rani gets scared thinking her to be witch living in the palace and covers her eyes & face with her hand in fear. Guard informs BRM that Rani stole foodgrains from store. BRM goes to grab her but before she could, Rani runs away. She gives the cereals to Birju. The kids ask her why didnt she take more. She replies Birju's father needed the food so Hanumanji forgave her but taking the food for herself would be considered a theft and a sin! She and the kids get scared finding RM & Lakhan there. RM & L get shocked and worried when they get to know from kids that Rani stole cereals for Birju's sick father from palace granary. RM gets Rani home and chides her for 2 mistakes: lying and stealing. Rani innocently accepts her 3rd mistake too that in the morning she took laddu from offertory served to Hanumanji. RM fakes anger and decides to punish her but is completely won over with her cute antics. Holding her ears Rani promises to never repeat the 3 mistakes plus never go to the grizzly witch in palace. RM realizes Rani must have run into BRM and gets tensed. Lakhan is shocked as well. He asks her if the witch saw her. Rani denies. RM panics thinking what if BRM had seen & recognized Rani. Lakhan says he'll explain it to Rani. RM tells Rani very cruel monsters live in that palace and makes her promise that she wont ever go to that palace. She hugs her and cries.
Kaal is furious at his son Raja and holds him up to punish him. Raja gets scared. Kaal gets more angry and chides Raja for being cowardly. Ambika requests Kaal to leave Raja. Raja rushes to Ambika. BRM is watching everything from outside. She tells Kaal his son is his blood and will become like him only and asks him to have patience. She pacifies Raja and says that he is her responsibility now. Kaal leaves in anger. BRM thinks she has to win this boy with love & keep him under her control so that when he grows up she can use him to win against Kaal.
At night RM makes Rani have food telling her Ram-Ravan story. She narrates how Ram killed Ravan. In palace BRM is also making Raja eat with her own hands and telling him same story but with different ideology. She tells him to make his hatred his strength and destroy his enemies whereas RM explains Rani that Ram didnt hate Ravan; he preached to hate the sin, not the sinner. Rani says she too will follow this preaching, once she knows what is hatred. Raja tells BRM he knows what hatred means - the feeling that his father harbors for him & his mother and he harbors for his father. He says he wants to becomes very strong & prays God to make him such mighty that he can correct all wrongdoings of his father. He blows away a plume he is holding. Rani asks RM if God is so mighty then why doesnt he punish the monsters & witch in palace. RM asks her to not think about such things. Rani says God seems to be very busy and it seems when grown up, she only will have to punish the monsters & witch. RM tells her punishing the evils is God's prerogative, not hers. BRM tells Raja he should never rely on God to punish those who have wronged him; evilness cant be eradicated w/o eradicating the evils and to destroy the evils he'll have to be very strong. She tells him to do something that ppl will regard him a worthy king (Ek tha Raja). RM tells Rani evilness cant be destroyed with evilness but with goodness only and tells her to be kind, generous and good humanbeing. She too tells her to achieve something big so that ppl will praise her as Ek thi Rani! The plume lands on Rani's hand and she smiles holding it.

BRM tells him Kaal may or may not consider him his son but she'll take him to a place where he'll see that ppl consider only him as Kaal's son. She says she'll take him to Hameerpur.
