Sachin Tendulkar has been selected to become the good will ambassador for RIO Olympics. It seems the people have spoken loud and clear and the IOC had no choice but to do damage control and rope in Sachin Tendulkar to boost the morale of the athletes.

Way to go and finally a sensible decision. This effectively means Bhai will be sidelined and Sachin will take on the bigger role. A man who fans, athletes can all respect and who actually brought pride and glory to India.

I saw the news this morning too, but Salman is still on as a goodwill ambassador. They are merely trying to sooth the angry janta by bringing on actual sportsmen to make people forget they also have Salman on-board. They say they want Salman to represent the Entertainment sector but like someone had suggested in another thread, they could have just chosen an actor who is actually into sports like Milind Soman.

Well, it's good they are atleast picking on proper representatives now.

This never happenes. It effectively dashes any hopes of Salman boosting anyone's morale. Now he is a rent a entertainment system who can nacho gawo for them at their disposal. Even Sachin basically took a dig at him and said in his statement that he is a true athlete.

Nacho Gawo for them? 😆 I'm a little confused on what he has to do actually, are they putting on a show in Rio or something?

Hahaha... Can't blame Sachin for that I guess. It was very insulting to all sportsmen to bring on a non-athlete as a representative for something as big as Olympics.

It is silly to have so many ambassadors...what did sachin say? I'm glad they brought in him waise...rest should hv been said bye...salim khan doesn't have anything to say this time?! 😛
