The TV show 'Jamai Raja' is set for a major revamp post the two-year time leap. While DD (played by Achint Kaur) --- one of the prominent characters --- has exited the show before the impending leap, a new entry --- Indraneil Sengupta will join the cast after the story moves ahead by two years. He will be seen opposite Nia Sharma, who plays the protagonist Roshni. The show's makers have decided to bump off DD and her death will eventually cause a wedge in Roshni and Sid's (played by Ravi Dubey) relationship. She will hold him responsible for DD's death.
A source associated with the show tells us, "Indraneil will play the role of Dev, who hates the word love after his girlfriend left him jilted at the altar. The incident has made him a bitter person. However, destiny has other plans for him as he develops feelings for Roshni when she stands up for him."
Indraneil was last seen in an episode of 'Darr Sabko Lagta Hai' and also featured as Shukracharya in 'Maharakshak Devi'.
