"What the hell are you doing Sumo?" yelled Shravan, as he grabbed Suman by the shoulders and turned her around to face him.
"What the hell does it matter to you Shravan?" yelled Suman back. "Who am I to you that you need to concern yourself so much with what I do?"
"Who are you to me? I thought we already discussed this? You're my friend"
"Yeah Friend..." Said Suman with a bitter laugh. "I am your friend!...Have you thought Mr Shravan the Great Malhotra...that maybe I don't want to be your "friend?" said Sumo looking up at Shravan.
"Your drunk Sumo!" said Shravan in an angry under tone.
"Drunk?...Ha maine Peeli...Toh?" said Suman as she blinked.
"Toh matlab? Do you realise the trouble you can get into being drunk in a place like this?"
"Look around you Shravan...this is a Pub. People come here to get drunk!" said Suman with a laugh.
"I am taking you home!" said Shravan firmly.
"No you're not! I drove here!"
"Your not driving in your state. I will get one of the drivers to bring your car to your place. Now come with me!"
"No...I WONT go. I'm having fun!"
"Yeah I saw how much fun you were having when that creep Ajay was hitting on you!"
"He's not a creep. He likes me. He thinks I'm hot! You just scared him away with your over bearing behaviour"
"Trust me the guy's bad news. He flirts with half the girls at work!"
"So?"
"What do you mean SO? Don't you care the guy has a bad reputation?"
"Maybe that's what I want? A guy with a bad reputation who thinks I'm hot. Not a guy like you who totally friend zoned me and don't even think I'm sexy!" said Suman as she swayed a little on her feet.
"Sumo...you really are drunk. Tumai patha nahi hai ke tum kya kehe rahi ho!"
"Really? Why do YOU get to decide everything Shravan? I mean, you decide I am drunk, you decide I shouldn't see Ajay...YOU decide you just want to be friends'. WHY do you keep throwing your decisions in my face?" said Suman angrily.
"Look Sumo..."
"No YOU look Shravan...! I don't want you to tell me what to do! I am a big girl and can look after myself!"
"Yeah that's why you cant even stand without swaying right now!" said Shravan sarcastically.
"I can stand...in fact I can walk...watch me!" said Suman, as she took a few steps forward in her high heels. She felt wobbly and was about to stumble, when Shravan caught her by the waist. Suman was not used to wearing high heels and she was not used to drinking either. Two drinks had made her feel tipsy.
"Let go of me! I can walk without your help"
"Shut up. Just shut up Suman, and come with me!" said Shravan in an angry undertone as he pulled Suman close to him as she slightly stumbled again. Suman's arms automatically clutched at Shravan's jacket. She could smell his aftershave and also that distinct scent that was Shravan. Suddenly Suman's head swam as she could feel the heat of his chest under her fingers, her senses overwhelmed with Shravan's closeness.
Suman looked up to see Shravan looking down at her. The drink in her suddenly made Suman feel bolder than she normally did.
"Shravan" she whispered looking at him. "Why didn't you kiss me?"
"What?" asked Sharavn his eyes widening.
"The other night...on the terrace...I was so sure you wanted to kiss me. I mean Preeta told me that's what you wanted...you know as your fee!" said Suman, and then she laughed a little. "She was SO wrong and so was I. You just wanted to be Friends!"
"Sumo" said Shravan huskily.
"Don't you think I'm pretty Shravan?"
"Of course you're pretty" said Shravan in a rough voice.
"Sexy?"
"Sumo..." Said Shravan in a warning tone.
"What Sumo?...answer the question Vakil Sahib...am I sexy or not?"
"Yes you're sexy. OK. Happy now?"
"Not really. Because if you think I'm sexy, then why didn't you kiss me?"
Shravan took a deep breath. Suman's artless questions were driving him crazy. Her closeness was driving him crazy.
"Because I didn't want to spoil our friendship" said Shravan gravely.
"I HATE that word" said Suman as she pushed Shravan away from her, but stumbled in the process only to fall back against Shravan as he got pushed against the wall. They were in a secluded area of the Pub, and there was hardly anyone around. Suman looked up at Shravan again and her eyes went down to his lips. He had such beautiful lips, and that stubble...All she knew was, she wanted those lips against hers. She wanted to feel that stubble on her skin. She stood on tip toe and rubbed her nose against his chin, only to feel the prickle of his stubble against it. She then turned her head and brushed her lips against his stubbled jaw. Suman was not even in her senses anymore. She was too drunk on Shravan's closeness to even think about what she was doing. Her fingers fisted on the front of his shirt. Suman nuzzled into Shravan's neck as her lips planted a kiss against the base.
"Sumo..." said Shravan in a hoarse whisper.
"I don't want to be Friends, Shravan..." whispered Suman back as she looked into his eyes.
"You're not in your senses Sumo" said Shravan roughly.
"My senses only know one thing..." said Suman huskily. "They want you. Only you!"
"Sumo...you..."
"Shut up and kiss me Shravan Malhotra" said Suman as she moved her hands up his chest and around his neck to pull his head down to hers.
Shravan's hands went around her waist as he pulled her closer and his lips captured hers. They started with soft and slow brushes of their lips and it was Suman that flicked her tongue over his lips, which made Shravan groan and softly bite her bottom lip, only to sooth it with his tongue again. Suman's fingers fisted into his hair as she pressed herself even closer to him. Shravan's hands started to move over her back and sides and as he caressed her through her silky black dress which clung to her like a second skin. Suman was in heaven. She was being kissed by the man she loved and it was amazing. It was everything she had thought it would be and more.
They moved away from each other to draw breath and Suman looked up at Shravan, her eyes wide with wonder.
"Wow...I never thought...you're a great kisser Vakil Sahib..." she murmured.
"Your not too bad yourself" said Shravan in a sexy whisper which sent a tingle down her spine. She loved his voice, especially when he murmured like that. It was so hot.
"Why didn't you just do this the other night on the terrace?" asked Suman with a pout.
"Because..." Said Shravan with sigh "I didn't know if that was what you wanted!"
"Sure now?" asked Suman with a small smile.
"Sure now!" said Shravan with a smirk.
"So I'm not Friendzoned anymore?" said Suman as she wound her arms around his neck again and pressed herself closer to him.
"Not even!" said Shravan an ironic laugh.
"Mmhhh..." Said Suman as she ran her fingers into his hair. "So you think I'm sexy?"
"You're the sexiest woman I've ever met Babe" said Shravan huskily.
"And you're the sexiest man!" said Suman as she pulled his head down towards her. Soon they were lost in each other again. That night in a secluded corner of a Delhi pub, Suman and Shravan left the "Friend Zone" forever!
