IKRS Tuesday 23rd February 2016 ep 171 My Take ~the morning after the night before..
Life is too short. A fantastic justification we give to ourselves often to enjoy often the delectable fruit of humour. Many a times we are cajoled by loved ones to let ourselves go and see the funny side of life, be involved in the comic reality of life. Life can become so bleak ,monotonous and full of drudgery ,that many a times we think of ourselves as victims of life. life feels some kind of a tragedy where troubles and woes and pile upon us one after the other. But we still continue to live. Now if it's a case of living than why not life to the fullest! with a touch of a little , hilarity, absurdity and a heavy helping of laughter!.. being merry ,jolly jesting is certainly a recommended medicine for good health. But who can deny that mirth is an out pour of a happy heart! Today's episode for me was a bundle of complacent laughter, tongue in cheek innuendos drizzled with glee and cheerfulness.. in short I smiled and at times laughed to my heart's content..
Now viplav is basically a young bloke , who is bright as a button! full of beans! and a chappy who believes in seeing the world with metallic fluorescent yellow glares! Everything about him is sun rays ! sunbeams! in fact he is the epitome of the Apollo the Greek sun god. The girl he falls for is dhani.. a widow , sober by her predicament , till he discovers , she too had a chirpy cheery side to her.. since then viplav's obsession has been to see the young widow smile, laugh.. laugh to her hearts delight! Let's see what happens when two cheeky , newlyweds get together? They are up to no good! is this a laughing matter? shall we take a peek into their temporary love nest..
The morning after the night before. No man wants to be stirred from his content slumber. It's the wife who badgers him, reminds him the night is past and its day break. Dhani though is as usual sensible and reminds him , cozy as it may seem.. charpoy and all! its temporary accommodation they need to be home ward bound.He thinks she's out of her mind and he sets her a task. that if she fulfills it he might move himself from his comfortable position and head home.. the task is one that was daunting to her before. Now he reckons after last night she would readily.. plant a kiss with her lips on his! But despite his amorous looks, wanton hooded eyes and a gentle press of her upper half on to his chest .. Viplav waits ardently for the kiss.. but Dhani transforms from a wife back into being the typical demure, coy, shy girlie she was.. but love makes one do silly pranks and she finds a wisp of hay beside viplav's head! Reaches for it and since his eyes are closed .. with a naughty smile she caresses and tickles his nostril! Viplav shudders at the sensation of her assumed kiss ! you wicked woman! He cries out and then warns her that's it! now its two kisses that she'll have to give instead if she wants him to take her home! coquettishly she challenges him and he turns wild ,who's to stop him! Like children he chases her around the charpoy ! happy newlyweds playing had! Returning to their childhood days, laughing.. but also feeling each other's nearness.. Suddenly all fears of remarrying, expel away from Dhani's system as her husband sports love and makes her happy! Dodging and darting and hiding .. little bits of play that excites love between them..she let's her husband corner her! just to see the look of victory on his face ..from her vantage point behind the bales.. she finds her chunni and throws it against the hunter to ward him off from catching her!! He catches the chunni ! as her sporty interaction in love! Hungs it from the back of his neck and shouts a penalty of three kisses from her!.. but Viplav s adrenaline flows and he moves to hunt her and she warns him to stop acting shameless! That excites him even more and for rudeness towards her husband, he awards the feisty Dhani yet another kiss as penalty! 4x times! But since she throws a bundle of pokey animal fodder at him and much to his exuberance he punishes her with a dozen kisses from her on his lips! Dhani too is charged up as she's finally got just the thing to throw at him! To cool off her hot blooded husband.. to stop his forward charge at grabbing her a pail of water! But bold brazen and bolshie he moves towards her to claim his kisses. Dhani warns him don't come any closer but his ears are blocked,only his eyes are focused on her lips for his prize!! Dhani has no choice and she hurls the bucket of water to fight his advances! Then she giggles and runs past a drenched Viplav and he turns to face a laughing Dhani and mocks her what have you done? gawddd! never imagined you can be so stupid dhani! It's ok you chucked water at me, but pray tell me why did you leave a half filled pail of water back there?? Dhani.. realizes her stupidity and dreads him coming towards her with a mug full of water! She begs him not to drench her ,as she'll catch a cold.. but he chuckles ,nope will not let you off today! And he raises the mug and pours water over her head and then the same residue water he tips over his head.. love ,love, pure love.. viplav performs their morning ablution. A purification of both their bodies and souls offered to the gods.. the color of my love is white.. not just me ,but the whole world rings with it.. that the color of my love is white.. in the whirlpool of love I was swept away..till I was colored white in the color of your love.. none other color I pined for , except the color of my love which is white.. semi wet Viplav holds his love , his Dhani ,his wife Dhani close to his heart.. as a thanks giving to the deities in the heavenly realms..
A concerned mother dulari frantically tries to contact both viplav and dhani but there phones are switched off. Inderani attempts to pacify her,dhani s gone to clear misunderstandings, that takes time, hopefully all will be fine they both anticipate.. its odd that viplav's mother gets through to him.. he answers her call. Surprised that dhani hasn't checked her phone.. is she working on the premises that once a girl get married , she is only answerable to her husband and in laws.. not once has she thought about the ashram. Unless she banks on the fact that they know where she is and for what purpose..
Dhani has forever had an obsession of raising some form of wall, a partition between her and viplav if they were ever sharing a room in the past.. this fixation of hers, here becomes a comic prop, meant to induce tongue in cheek humour..for the partition that is erected between them while they peel their wet clothes off, and get into dry ones..is the very charpoy upon which they became man and wife last night! The whole water incident along with being used as defensive weaponry by Dhani ..turns out to serve as early morning ablution for them. Now flows into informal, funny yet sensuous scene between the two.. but the sensational side as with the demanding of a dozen kisses scene is dribbled , trickled with good old giggles and guffaws..both married but semi naked shielded by the dividing charpoy between them are shy to come before each other after all that! the night before.. Viplav probably goes along with the whole idea due to her bashfulness, but it doesn't stop him for groping for her with his hands pushed through the loose weave of the charpoy.. like children..they enjoy the moment of hide and seek and peek a boo! I can see you scenario! both husband and wife trying to catch each other at checking each other out! Viplav stripped to his torso is a bit more adventurous and continues to take sided peeks at her from the sides of the charpoy but Dhani doesn't find it funny and finally he holds his shirt, covers her and says ,I am not some sleaze bag loafer! here take this I am going out for a bit , you can get dressed in peace! so after all the funny connotations and dying to check you out, Viplav Tirpathi cools off and becomes the true gent who respects women.. even the one he married yesterday and loved last night! Respect!!
So its time now to face the big bad world that has eyes , evil eyes ,cruel eyes, inhuman eyes.. it takes the joy and fun out of life...Viplav sits beside Dhani in the market square.. two men are astounded to see a widow with vermillion in her hair parting and red bangles on her wrist that the man sitting by her feels with his finger tips.. for Viplav the time has come to shut the outside world with its accusing eyes.. he tells dhani to put her chunari on so the men can see she's married and not go by her white sari.. in fact he encourages her to dress like a married women as he is her husband and she's is wife and that they got married today.. he sounds off to the two men and tells Dhani don't mind what people cheap and low level like those two men say, as people are likely to talk rubbish regardless if you are right or wrong. But Dhani is anxious about what they'll say about their marriage to his folks? Viplav assures her, not to worry ,he's got everything sorted , he knows how to tackle his family..
The moment arrives for the newly married couple to break the news of their marriage .. both standing facing each with open door of AN wide open in the background.. Viplav can see his wife is wary and his job as a husband is to support and protect her from emotional fears too. By a supporting hand he leads her then stops and says , she can't go in as yet! as all she needs to be received with full celebrations befitting the daughter in law of this household and as his wife! So he pinches her nose and tells her to stay where she is! while he goes and collects everyone else! to receive her.. Viplav runs in all excited! As Dhani waits out side. He barges in yelling dadi! dada! , then stops short as he sees company in the front room. Kanak's face lights up at the sight of her babu! Kanak invites him to join them .. a lady he hadn't meet before sat there.. Viplav declines to sit down.. kanak introduces him as her son.. and the woman tells dashrant , she likes their granddaughter a lot. Viplav gets an idea of what is going on.. Dhani waits outside for Viplav to return with his folks. The woman continues regards shalu , she pretty , is cultured , but as times have changed, she would prefer if her son who is arriving in two days time can meet shalu and decide..he won't decline her choice but it'll be better if they meet each other.. both families agree.
At the ashram , dulari holds an old photo of herself and the woman asking for shalu's hand!so she is dhani's ex mother in law! [rolling my eyes] Inderani supports Dulari , don't let dhani's past influence her future..don't let it bother you , besides once Viplav and Dhani get married all their troubles will vanish.. Dhani waits for Viplav .. and begins to get anxious and fear of rejection begins to grip her..she moves closer..
Inside the woman asks Viplav if he is married..? his mother says not yet.and he looks down at her sarcastically if only you knew mother.. your banter pushed me into marriage! Kanak says , as the elder brother Viplav wants his sister to get married first! After sahlu I'ts his turn next ,well start looking for a nice girl for him.. and Viplav almost chuckles.. Dhani's feet carry her onwards.. the woman says. in our family there's a very nice girl ,kanak gets excited ,really? The woman says if you want shall I arrange ,dadi interrupts no we chosen a girl.. kanak snubs her , look the truth is, there was some bad times for viplav, .. dhani comes closer to the door and she can hear..kanak carries on as Viplav glares at her ,pandit ji said some witch has cast a spell on him! We thought that witch will take some ones life! thn let go of us! Dhani hears kanak's words and her eyes well up! Kanak says but the ill omen has now left my son due to my continuous devotion and prayers! Isn't that right viplav? Andviplav smiles and replies casually.. what's the point of discussing all these things here! Let bygones be bygones he replies slyly..and Viplav ignores his mothers idle prattle and says, i'll be back soon... Dhani heard enough.. she turns to run away.. wiping her tears.
Viplav stops her grabs her arm and reels her around and tells her angrily , Dhani this happens to be your house too!and I didn't marry you to see tears in your eyes! Come in with me and he drags her in but dhani stops him takes him to the side.. vakeel babu! Listen to me! This is not the right time! lets not tell about our marriage yet.. you never know it might break the talks about shalus' marriage and if that happens I know what it feels like.. being a girl. I don't want , to be blamed for ruining chances of shalu's marriage. They might think,that for my own happiness I have ruined shalu's happiness..butviplav thinks, why does she think this way ,why not think , that due to our marriage , a proposal has come for shalu? But dhani says but yur folks might not be happy about our marriage besides chotti malkin.. and viplav says why are you always so concerned about her? And my mother is always on your case...
For me the biggest breaking news has to be the link between shalu'sfuture and dhani's past.. what a way to go for viplav and dhani.. its sad in the end the predicament the newly weds are placed in.. both Mishal and Eisha were super in their parts today. hamlet 53 24.2.16
