The lovey dovey part could be cos both Jai and Bani are potrayed to be serious and mature (?!) characters. So, some lovey dovey scenes don't gel with their characters.
I said some, cos, there have been many classic scenes between them, which, while not exactly lovey dovey, have been romantic. Scenes before their marriage and after too.
I like the scene before PR when Jai gives Bani a pair of bangles, the scene before their marriage when Bani tells Jai that he has a kind heart and Jai kind of blushes, the classic bathroom scene when Bani brings water for him, there were so many such scenes!!
