Both the families were greeting each other, when Gayatri was pulled to the side where no one could see.
"Who...," Gayatri stopped mid sentence as she looked up. "What are you doing? Someone will see, leave me."
"Let them." Indravadhan smirked. "So I'm a bewakoof, huh."
"Yes, sir you are. A bewakoof with a bandar jaisi shakal."
"Bandar jaisi shakal?" Indravadhan said as he came closer.
"St...stop... right there." Gayatri stammered. But indravadhan didn't listen.
"Papa!" Gayatri exclaimed.
Indravadhan froze and quickly backed away. He looked around to find Gayatri's dad, who was no where to found.
"Hahah...look at your face, it looks like you saw a ghost."Gayatri continued to laugh.
Indravadhan just stared at her mesmerized.
"Oh Hello," Gayatri said waving her hand in front of Indravardhan's face. "Why are you staring at me like that?"
Indravardan just stood there staring at her. After a while of getting his attention, she just gave up and left joining their families. Indravardhan smiled and shook his head looking at her.
At dinner...
Everyone was sitting at the table eating and chatting about their lives. Suddenly the doorbell rang, one of the servants went and opened the door. Everyone was shocked looking at the person who was standing at the door. An elderly lady dressed in a designer saree stood at the door step. Her hair was slicked back into a bun and not even a single strand of baby hair was visible. Her posture so perfect that it could be said to have been of a royal.
"Dadi!" Indarvardhan yelled as he ran to first touch her feet and then hug her. (She's Badi Rani Maa, anyone know her name?)
One by one everyone greeted her. After greeting Indravardhan's Dadi, Gayatri went back to her place next to her mother. Gayarti didn't like the presence of her, whenever she was around trouble came following. Just something about her gave Gayatri the shivers.
"Dadi, aap yaha," Indravardhan asked ( I did not know how to translate that :p)
"Of course I had to come! My grandson is back after so many days," Dadi stated.
"Well, I'm glad to see you," Indravardhan beamed.
After that everyone went to finish up dinner. While eating, Gayatri noticed Dadi staring at here. When she caught her gaze, she smirked and looked away. Shiver ran down Gayatri's spine, she didn't have a good feeling about the arrival of this member of the Singh family.
