CHAPTER 3
After the meeting in the lunch break, all of them went to the canteen. Swara, Sanskar, Lakshya, Ragini, and their friends took a table and all sat together, having lunch and chit chatting at the same time.
"You were awesome in the music class Swara.", Ajay said.
" Thank You.", Swara said with a smile.
"Swara was singing so nicely, isn't it Sanskar...", Ajay said in a teasing way but only Sanskar heard it and punched his arm. Ajay laughed.
" What happened ?", Lakshya asked.
"Oh, nothing.", Sanskar replied even before Ajay could say anything.
" Ok.", Lakshya said.
They all were done having lunch, when the bell rung and RagLak said they had to go as there was an important lecture. The others stayed there as it was their free period.
"So Swara how long have you been practicing music ?", Sanskar asked her.
" Since I was 3.", came her reply.
"You were really Amazing in the music class today.", he said with a genuine smile.
" You were there ?", Swara asked with surprise. "I didn't see you.", she concluded.
" Actually I was late so thought of skipping it but when I listened to you singing I stayed there outside the class.", he said with honesty.
"You were outstanding.", he said with a smile.
" Thank you.", she smiled back.
"So, Sanskar do you have interest in music ?", Swara asked him.
" Yeah, I love music.", he replied.
"Yeah, in school Sanskar used to be the Lead singer and lead guitarist of our band.", Ajay said patting Sanskar's shoulder.
" Really !! That's impressive. ", Swara said.
" And he even won the Inter School Music Competition. ", Rishabh added.
"WOW Sanskar.", Swara said being impressed.
The bell rung indicating that it was time for an important lecture.
They all got up and started heading towards their lockers to get their books and then head towards the next lecture.
Swara reached her locker opened it, took her books and was about to head towards the next lecture when she collided with the person whose locker was right next to hers.
She was about to fall when two strong arms caught her in the nick of time to prevent her from falling.
She opened her eyes to find Him.
He supported her up.
" Are you okay ?", he asked her with concern in his voice.
"Yes, thanks for saving me... Again." she said smiling as always.
He too smiled seeing her smiling.
"Is this your locker ?", she asked pointing to locker no. 89.
" Yes, and yours is 90, am I right ?", he said.
"Yup.", she replied.
"So, heading for which class ?", she asked him.
"Business.", he said. " And you ?", he asked.
"Hey ! even I am heading for business.", she said.
Both of them smiled and made their way towards the Business lecture... Together.
After the lecture both of them were heading towards their locker when suddenly the 2nd year students made announcement for everyone to reach the auditorium.
They reached there and on the way found their friends too.
All of them were curious to know what was gonna happen.
They saw RagLak and their group there on the stage. They were discussing something.
" So, guys you all must be thinking why are we all gathered here, right ?", Lakshya asked.
"Well, we all have gathered here to announce that since this is the first day of the new session then lets start this year with a boom !!", Lakshya said.
Everyone was confused.
" Lakshya get to the point man.", his friend Omi said.
"Ok ! Ok ! Let's get to the point. Well the College is giving you the Freshers a chance to showcase your music talent and passion because this year we are gonna organise a competition "Bands Ki Takkar". In this there are gonna be two rounds : First at the School Level.
And second at the City Level.
You have to prepare a band of yours, and then there is going to be a competition between all the bands of this college, the best band gets to enter the City Level wherein they will compete with bands from other colleges.", he concluded.
" WOW !!", all of them said.
"So, all you gotta do is go make your band, then after 2 weeks we are gonna meet here again with all of you filling the forms with your band members, then we will let you know the competition dates. Simple.", he said.
" So, guys all the best.", RagLak and their group said in unison.
Swara, Sanskar, Ajay, Priya, Naina, Rishabh, Karan and Ashi exited the auditorium with surprised faces.
"We should definitely take part !", Swara and Sanskar said at the same time and looked at each other.
All of them agreed.
They all exchanged numbers and promised to meet tomorrow morning in the College to discuss about it further.
They went home.
While here in MM, Sanskar was thinking about Swara, her smile, her laugh, her voice, her nature. He didn't knew why he was thinking like this but he felt some connection to her.
Swara was also thinking about Sanskar, his smile, his nature, she didn't knew why she was feeling like this but she felt some connection to him.
