The episode begins with Jigyasa socializing with some females. Bani comes up to her and asks where Jai is. Jigyasa taunts her and tells her that at last she realized that she the Walia families daughter-in-law and has two children and a husband. Bani tells Jigyasa not to talk such stuff and tell her where Jai is. She tells Bani that if she tells her, Bani will just go and cry some crocodile tears and tell Mr. Walia all is well. She tells Bani that Jai has some self respect and after the joke played he left the party but she didn't have any shame and was a part of the joke and is still there. Bani leaves from there.
Daksh's parents are talking amongst themselves and are saying how Bani should never find out that they have a haveli exactly the same as is there Jaisalmer, 10 kilometers away from Bombay. They say that if Bani comes to know the things that will follow won't be good and that they have to hide it from her for however long they can. Right now they just have to focus on Daksh.
Jai is standing in their room, by their window. (The room has changed!) there are candles all over and the wind is blowing. Bani comes from behind and asks him why did he leave. He says he had some work and makes an excuse. Bani tells him that he calls her his shadow and she knows that was not the reason for him leaving but Arushi's joke was. She tells him not to take it seriously since it was just that a joke. He turns around and shouts that what was wrong in what she said. She is in her 20's and he in his 40's. He has diabetes and needs to be taken care of and when her life is starting his is ending. (whose life ends at 40?) He tells her that there relationship is nothing but a compromise. (He stops at that and looks down). Bani is crying and she tells him that she never thought of their relationship like that. She is seeing it that way for the first ever time and she never knew it was about compromise. She says she always thought it was about love between them, for each other. She asks him what is her fault if she is younger or him older. God made it this way but he has rectified his mistake by bringing them together. She says that she is happy with him and content and needs nothing, has no complaints.
Jai takes his hands and tries picking up her chin slightly but she moves away and then he wipes her tears. They are looking at each other and realizing what they mean to each other and embrace. After that he picks her up and takes her to the bed, gently putting her down there. He bends towards her and the scene fades away.
The next day the wedding is going on and someone has to give Purva shagun and the woman that was supposed to declines saying it is a curse to do that since that puts your own husbands life into danger and you shorten it. Purva's mother in law disagrees and says all these are superstitions and tells her that if she could do the needful she would but someone who is not from the girl's side has to do it. Bani says she would do it and then people comment about how she doesn't love her husband and hence is doing so. Arushi comments that her husband is anyway reaching the end of his life so this won't make much of a difference. Bani starts to raise her voice and tell her to shut up when Jai intervenes and tells Bani no need to answer back to such things and that if she does the ritual he will the happiest.
Bani is in a store room with one chachi and her sari gets entangled some place. When she is removing it, the haveli picture is revealed. She tells Bani that this is their family haveli and there is a similar one in Jaisalmer called Suryavanshi and it is 200 years old. Daksh's mother is shocked and scared. She goes to his father and tells him that now Bani knows but that isn't so much the problem but what will happen now is.
Bani goes to Dhanraj and asks him how his mother and him are related and what and why is her mother at the haveli. What is the entire story/truth behind it? Just then someone comes and says that Bani is needed up since Daksh is refusing to take his medicines. Dhanraj requests her to go and heaves a sigh of relief when she does.
Up in the room, Daksh is painting/sketching and refusing to have his medicines. His mother says that having this medicine on time is very important for him and Bani tells her that she should go down and attend the wedding, she will make him take the medicine and come right down. Bani tells Daksh that if he doesn't take the medicines she will stop coming and go down right away. Daksh turns around and stares at her. Jhoot nahin bolna starts playing and Bani is looking at him and smiling apologetically while his eyes speak a thousand different words.
The phera's are going on and everyone is facing the mandap, enjoying the wedding when Daksh comes on the steps and is loosing control…he has held his head tight. He makes a noise and everyone turns and he is told to go back up but he doesn't listen. At the same time, a few diya's light up Bani's sari and the paloo is in flames. She screams out for help and Daksh comes and tries extinguishing it with his hands. Jai is just standing there looking at them, kind of helpless.
Episode ends on Jai's face.
