Friday Episode Take
Friday Episode was more of a build-up to this week's Episodes I guess as Gayatri takes a tough decision to leave the Palace after Ranaji refuses to listen to her ...As a woman and wife she stands corrected because for any woman or a wife , self-respect does matter but is this the right decision as the Queen of Amerkot too ?? 🤔 With Big Power comes Bigger Responsibilities too , something which Gayatri might realise this week , reason why she decides to come back to the Palace again ... I will not call it a compromise of a wife but rather a realisation of a Queen that now she has certain responsibilities towards the people of Amerkot too who has expectations from their Queen .. If she lives upto their expectations as a Queen , then automatically Ranaji will realise her worth as a wife too , something that Gayatri might realise this week 🤔 ..
"If u are expecting rights of a wife , then fulfill your duties as a Queen "
This was Rajmata's words to Gayatri when Gayatri told Rajmata that she dont want to b a Queen but just wanted to b Ranaji's Wife .. Initially Rajmata's words might look a bit harsh towards Gayatri because from a woman's POV , no wife will b interested to fulfill other random duties of her Sasural if her husband only does not accept her as his wife ; But on second thoughts , I found Rajmata's words very practical and fair towards Gayatri ; By becoming the Queen of Amerkot , Gayatri not only becomes powerful enough to stand upto her husband on his equal level and then fight for her rights but also the Queen tag gives her that individual identity which she always wanted in life ; If she refuses to accept the Queen tag , then she will b reduced to an unfortunate woman whose husband refused to accept her and so she will hv to stay like a burden all her life in her maayka because obviously her maayka people will not allow her to work .. But if she accepts the Queen tag , then she can build her own identity and also become an independent working woman by handling all the duties that a Queen of Amerkot is suppose to handle without really being dependent on anyone ; And this is what Rajmata wanted to make Gayatri realise in Friday episode ...
By going back to her Maayka , she will only face embarassment and humiliation because this is not 2015 where divorce or separation hv become acceptable in society , we r talking about 1945 , where a woman coming back to her Maayka forever is seen as embarassment for the family .. So Rajmata was actually thinking from all these ends and she only wants Gayatri to b self-sufficient and independent as a queen just like her instead of being dependent on anyone ... Yes its tough to live in a loveless marriage where your husband refuses to accept you but this is not the end .. Who has seen the future .. What if tomorrow Ranaji realises his mistake on his own seeing how efficiently and honestly Gayatri is fulfilling her duties as a Queen ? 😳 .. This is what Rajmata meant when she questioned Gayatri that "U wanted to b a wife , so now u dont want to b a wife anymore .. not even try " .. And here trying does not mean begging .. Here trying means showing your own efficiency and worth to the person who under estimated your qualities
Having said that I do understand Gayatri's POV too ... As a woman who just faced rejection from her husband on her first night , its difficult to simply forget all that and accept the Queen tag .. She is not as practical as Rajmata ... She is still very young and vulnerable while facing such extreme situations .. So it will take time for her to understand and realise the importance and value of that Queen tag .. Also I can understand when she wanted to clear the misunderstanding of Ranaji first before taking any decision .. Her first priority is her husband and this marriage now .. So she was more keen to tell him the truth that time than think about any other duties or responsibilities ..She believes more in love than politics but then sometimes u got to b political to make sure your love wins in the end , something that she will realise with time .. 😳
But Ranaji still continues to b his stubborn self refusing to listen to Gayatri or even give her a chance to speak in her defence and just banged the door on her face 🤢 ; So Ranaji is angry after facing public humiliation in bichia ceremony because of Gayatri , but did he once think about what Gayatri must hv gone through whole night after facing humiliation from her husband on their first night ?? If Ranaji expects Gayatri to conduct herself properly in public , then Ranaji should also follow some proper code of conduct with his wife in private .. Isn't it 🤔 .. A king's duty is to always listen to his praja first before making any decision but here even as a king Ranaji failed today because he simply refused to listen to her ; Why cant he just listen to her once as a king and not even a husband .. that much he can do right ? 🤔 ; This is where I feel he simply dont want Gayatri to prove her innocence because then he will hv no more excuse left to reject her , so trying to prove Gayatri wrong is just an excuse he is using to stay away from her but how long is the Question 🤔 ...
After Ranaji banged the door on Gayatri's face , I really dont blame her for leaving the palace .. I mean any woman with a bit of self-respect will do the same .. She did try to explain herself to the person who matters the most but if he is not ready to co-operate , then what can she do .. She dont hv a thick skin either like Swarna or Rajmata to resist all that humiliation .. It will take time for her to develop that thick skin and become immune to such situations .. Mayb this is where the Queen Tag will help her out .. She will slowly become strong enough to withstand such situations and answer back strongly with her actions and not just words
