Okay let me start by saying I am big fan of PC. So this isn't a hate thread.

Yes its awesome that she has landed a lead on TV show, but come on guys its just a TV show amongst 100s of running right now. Are we so desperate to break into USA film and television industry that we have started saying PC is making us proud?

Google CEO is Indian, Berkshire CEO, Master Card CEO, Pepsi CEO, Microsoft CEO and so may other big companies are Indians. Thats the pride.

This is just a TV show and should be considered another project of PC. No need to hype it so much and say she is brining pride to our nation. Our standards are definitely better than that

Praising PC doesn't take away credit from the other Indians who have made it big , it's like saying why people like SRK and sallu have bigger fandom than the notable scientists and entrepreneurs, obviously showbiz and glamour garners more attention from the common people. As for PC making it big , it is a proud moment because ABC is picky plus it's garnering good reviews. She has diversified and it's nice when I see a familiar Indian face on every billboard here!

I see her on billboards here in LA and for an Indian to see that, its something vey rare.

Also, she is a lead on a ABC show and what else, she did a great job. And credit needs to be given where it deserves right?

I am not a PC fan but I will say that the girl is awesome in QUANTICO.

😆i don't think she gives a rat ass about all this making proud craps, whatever...but to have your face plastered all over big apple and billboards across a foreign country...😆tell me which girl doesn't want that! she is talk of the town!

AND she did it on her OWN...of course , many would say, BUT with help of her ugly nose and kaala skin.😆😆

enjoy pc, play ur cards well, you will be one rich lady soon!

I might be wrong, but what we see on American TV are predominantly white heroines.

Of course, there is more diversity in the offing now...so having faces like PC, Scandal's Kerry Washington or Modern Family's Sofia Vergara is a welcome change, I guess. It's certainly a big break for her because let's face it, we don't get to see heroines other than Caucasian ones on American TV.

PC's achievements cannot take away from the achievements of people like Pichai, Nadella and Nooyi. For instance, Indians went berserk when they heard that Pichai has become Google CEO- ask the bemused Wikipedia moderators about the endless editing about the Chennai schools Pichai had studied in :P

It's good that people of Indian origin are making their presence in all fields- be it in science, medicine (Surgeon General Vivek Murthy), technology, or entertainment. And just because it's a TV show, doesn't make her achievement any lesser.

I am equally proud of PC as well as all the business leaders of Indian origin who head major companies across the world. I am also proud that India is known (and feared) for its software workforce. Nothing like soft power to rule the world. Go PC!

As far as I understand from various fandoms in US, there is a constant wish to see people of colour in lead roles and enough diveristy among the cast and characters as representation of different kind of people. Which is what Quantico is doing even though I find it a bit too much of everything to be honest. Like don't leave anything for them to complain. I m sure they will come up with something to complain in few days for sure so its no help 😆

I was reading some tumblr posts about the show, the genuine happiness of some of those people watching someone like them being represented brought a smile to my face. So yeah I m kinda proud that PC is in this show that is making a difference to some.

I feel proud seeing PC Quantico's hoarding board at the bus stand and building roof and posters on the buses here in LA😆 I feel like I m driving in India 😆 Its definitely an achievement for Indian actress.
