I'm surprised how this plan of Kokila Chachi to bribe the Pandit into saying that it is important for the couple to be separated for five days even succeeded. Most of her plans usually fail? I guess even Rajmata wanted this plan to succeed. Hmm..
I had no idea that it was Indian culture being looked down upon in the episode. I just felt it was an irritated widower throughout most of the episode. When he uttered "disgusting" in the precap it hit me that there was more to the matter. I don't think Gayatri being Indianized is a bad thing. There are many positives to that aspect. In fact that Rajputs one can say fell into the trap of the British. They started to believe the fact that the British and their culture were in fact superior. I in fact had a quiz on this today in comparative world politics. It's called Eurocentrism. Every great philosopher in Europe even Karl Marx agreed it was a good idea that the British colonized India for this very reason. Karl Marx, who was supposedly always for the underdogs, working class and against economic enslavement. This might not be a bad thing I suppose as I said Gayatri can challenge their perspectives on many things. She can bring someone of her own outlooks and ideals into the royal family.
But it is seriously silly that a girl as well read as Gayatri would not know what black coffee was? I was so confused there? She seriously is very gullible that she believed Rajmata when she told her not to tell Ranaji about her sindoor being left incomplete due to the fact he would be upset as it would mean their wedding is incomplete.
Great Post Sush and Great Collages Di!!!
Question of the day: 5 calendar days = how many weeks of show days😆 and after that what another way/apshukan for their separation😕
Agree Ranaji does not like her, agree this is forced but looks like the guy has made up his mind to be a royal snob He wants to know about his likes and dislikes without dating her🤓.
Black Coffee 😲 v/s prashadwhat is up with Gayatri? She is dressing like dasi on her first day of wedding?😲 She is the daughter of millionaire and yet her saree was like a beggar👎🏼 Even us common people who do not deck up on daily basis wear a heavy saree/dress and matching jewellery to go with it and she being queen😳 No wonder BRM taunted her.I liked what BRM said: Manse chahe meera ho par lagna Rukmani jaisa ho. THis is the reality of the world isn't? Its not what you are what you show matters.I loved her doing arti on the first day. Her calling the servant bhaiya proves that she will be a just queen who will rule the hearts of people and not just the queen who will rule kingdom.👏I am loving Anita Raj, Never thought would say that but she is looking stunning in her Rajmata avatar⭐️ . Just loved her purple net blouse and her attire. 👏Although she has her own desires yet she is helping Gayatri and to me that is new thing. Atleast there is someone on her side. But then as she said till then will she be able to save Ranaji?Kokila😃 today she looked beyond cute. She was edible😆 No wonder chachaji is always kissing her😛 She is one of the cutest vamp on tv shows(THat i have watched)Bloopers on the show: (I have to point it You know me 😳)Who was singing chorus? How did Gayatri's voice reach Ranaji's bedroom?Transparent kohl applicator - How come it was not black?PS - Shweta please you need to make a collage of kokila😳

I mean I know I criticize India a lot due to its somewhat more patriarchal society and lack of liberalism but there are good and bad to every single culture I feel.

OMG...Red, you must try having dinner with a family of the background I am talking about and you will see the snobbery, the looking down upon Indian culture as a sign of being "uncouth"!! It is so prevalent!!I do agree...that the Brits benefited from this by feeding into the idea of class superiority...Yeah...Gayatri was shown to be more of a simpleton...than I would have imagined...Although, I thought she was more caught by surprise...when RJM said black coffee...it wasn't like she didn't know the meaning...I thought it was more like...WHAT?? Why is he refusing the prasad? What could possibly explain that??
