Good Lord!! 5 days of separation? That's the plan Kokila has come up with??? Well, like every other plan...this one is helpful too! Gives them a breather, to manage an otherwise explosive situation...
Was funny to see everyone's reaction...
Gayatri...was visibly disappointed!! 😲
RNJ was thinking...Thank heavens...I don't have to worry about this for 5 days...not that after 5 days I will be ready for anything...😔
RJM...breathed a sigh of relief...she will figure out something...how to manage RNJs emotions by then...BTW...she is already thinking of an heir??? Poor RNJ...he seems to have no choice on the matter...😆
Kokila was encouraged...ok so she has 5 days to drive her out...
And audience...were like...really? We have to wait for 5 whole days before the real sleeping arrangement question comes to the table??? Hard to say who would have been more disappointed ...Gayatri or the audience...a tough call!!😛😆

Gayatri will surely make it tough for Ranaji...if she looked like this ...(There is no tax on imagination...right?) 😉

All collages courtesy Shwets!

Jokes apart, the real issue...is the challenge Gayatri has to face to fit in...She comes from a background with money...but simple living...no where close to the ways of Rajputs from the royal family...who thrive on class, etiquettes, manners, etc...etc...
She wants to please, she is unsure and she is very Indianized...all qualities...looked down upon by the royal families of the time...The behavior still persists...in many Rajput families...who came from status...The mannerisms and western influence can also be seen in families of the armed forces...

The funny thing is...even though I now have more appreciation for the Indian culture ...there was a time...when I would be totally irritated by someone singing bhajans early morning!!

Any way...the most important scene was Gayatri confronting RNJ on the sindoor issue... The girl has guts!!

But it was RJM who stole the show with her dialogue...

RAJPUTON KE KHOON KA RANG DUNIYA KE KISI SINDOOR SE GARA HOTA HEI!! 👏 Love how practical Rajmata is...!! She owned the rituals...rituals don't own her...

It will be interesting to see how she would avoid the explosion in 5 days...Day 1 of the journey had a rocky start...which was to be expected!

OMG...the family is so cynical...Puja and all seem so old fashioned to them!! I can totally relate ...😛Chachajis dialogue about ...Subeh Subeh KISI ko taansen banane KA shouk he...had me in splits!! 😆

But All the cynicism went away...when I looked at how beautiful and tranquil Gayatri looked...!! BEAUTIFUL!!!

I have to say, RNJ looked good in the Nehru suit too! Much better than the fancy dress for the wedding...although he did manage to pull that one off too with the sword and all!! Loved this scene...Good chemistry...!!❤️

BRM...is so real!! I can think of at least one or two people I know who are exactly like her! They have got this air about them...just like her...acting like they are the keepers of the culture and conduct! Appreciation is not their trait...but telling others how to act is surely their favorite activity!!

I had taken RJM for a haughty initially...but she seems to be more accepting...and seems pleased with the genuine ways of Gayatri!!

Question of the day: 5 calendar days = how many weeks of show days😆 and after that what another way/apshukan for their separation😕
Agree Ranaji does not like her, agree this is forced but looks like the guy has made up his mind to be a royal snob He wants to know about his likes and dislikes without dating her🤓.
Black Coffee 😲 v/s prashad

what is up with Gayatri? She is dressing like dasi on her first day of wedding?😲 She is the daughter of millionaire and yet her saree was like a beggar👎🏼 Even us common people who do not deck up on daily basis wear a heavy saree/dress and matching jewellery to go with it and she being queen😳 No wonder BRM taunted her.

I liked what BRM said: Manse chahe meera ho par lagna Rukmani jaisa ho. THis is the reality of the world isn't? Its not what you are what you show matters.

I loved her doing arti on the first day. Her calling the servant bhaiya proves that she will be a just queen who will rule the hearts of people and not just the queen who will rule kingdom.👏

I am loving Anita Raj, Never thought would say that but she is looking stunning in her Rajmata avatar⭐️ . Just loved her purple net blouse and her attire. 👏Although she has her own desires yet she is helping Gayatri and to me that is new thing. Atleast there is someone on her side. But then as she said till then will she be able to save Ranaji?

Kokila😃 today she looked beyond cute. She was edible😆 No wonder chachaji is always kissing her😛 She is one of the cutest vamp on tv shows(THat i have watched)

Bloopers on the show: (I have to point it You know me 😳)

Who was singing chorus?

How did Gayatri's voice reach Ranaji's bedroom?

Transparent kohl applicator - How come it was not black?

PS - Shweta please you need to make a collage of kokila😳

I'm surprised how this plan of Kokila Chachi to bribe the Pandit into saying that it is important for the couple to be separated for five days even succeeded. Most of her plans usually fail? I guess even Rajmata wanted this plan to succeed. Hmm..

I had no idea that it was Indian culture being looked down upon in the episode. I just felt it was an irritated widower throughout most of the episode. When he uttered "disgusting" in the precap it hit me that there was more to the matter. I don't think Gayatri being Indianized is a bad thing. There are many positives to that aspect. In fact that Rajputs one can say fell into the trap of the British. They started to believe the fact that the British and their culture were in fact superior. I in fact had a quiz on this today in comparative world politics. It's called Eurocentrism. Every great philosopher in Europe even Karl Marx agreed it was a good idea that the British colonized India for this very reason. Karl Marx, who was supposedly always for the underdogs, working class and against economic enslavement. This might not be a bad thing I suppose as I said Gayatri can challenge their perspectives on many things. She can bring someone of her own outlooks and ideals into the royal family.

But it is seriously silly that a girl as well read as Gayatri would not know what black coffee was? I was so confused there? She seriously is very gullible that she believed Rajmata when she told her not to tell Ranaji about her sindoor being left incomplete due to the fact he would be upset as it would mean their wedding is incomplete.

Great Post Sush and Great Collages Di!!!

Royalty and snobbery go hand in hand...😆!! LOVING IT!! Eaxctly what I would expect...from Ranaji...

BRM is critical but...she does have a point. I agree. Gayatri has to keep up the appearances ...Comes with the territory...

I liked Gayatris simple outfit...Most people who do puja in the morning...do it the first thing after bathing...they don't spend time decking up first...So this was in line...I thought!

Ha ha ...you love Kokila!! She is kinda cute ...very immature too!

I mean I know I criticize India a lot due to its somewhat more patriarchal society and lack of liberalism but there are good and bad to every single culture I feel.

OMG...Red, you must try having dinner with a family of the background I am talking about and you will see the snobbery, the looking down upon Indian culture as a sign of being "uncouth"!! It is so prevalent!!

I do agree...that the Brits benefited from this by feeding into the idea of class superiority...

Yeah...Gayatri was shown to be more of a simpleton...than I would have imagined...Although, I thought she was more caught by surprise...when RJM said black coffee...it wasn't like she didn't know the meaning...I thought it was more like...WHAT?? Why is he refusing the prasad? What could possibly explain that??

🤗 🤗

Sush I really like her tantrums and her immaturity and I disagree with you on the outfit at puja. If it was any other day i would say yes you are right but for the first day it was outright not warranted.

It is interesting because Ranaji was shown to be quite anti-british in the beginning. He taunted a Britisher at the party and refused to tax the commoners because of the British. Yet he himself doesnt realized that he is so engrained by western ideals that it is making him look down on his own praja. Hmm..
