well don't throw tomatoes and eggs on me after reading this one 😛...but before that lemme me very clear...its strictly my POV...other POV's are whole heartedly accepted... this is not against dhani(i can never be against her even in my dreams)...

from a long i was noticing the biased nature of indrani and self declared, second in command dulaari...i just kept on ignoring it but today i was not able to stop myself..
these too ladies who seems high on moral values have surely got a quality that doesn't glorify them, rather irritate me...their biasedness..today when raj(will be using this for rajlakshmi) came with her hairs open(whatever reasons she had), she was objected by dulaari at the very moment...and what dulaari said clearly meant that keeping open hairs will attract insult from the society...but hello...dhani too keep her hairs open right...ohk not spread like raj's but still open..and dhani got very long hairs and keeping it all on one side...if that didn't attracted insult till now...how raj's step deserve that reaction?...is she some magnet to attract bad words towards her?...i still tried to look the thing the other way...dhani keep her head covered but not raj...but then again i thought, dhani's hairs are not covered anywhere...they are completely visible...and only dhani in the ashram is this way...everyone else either had to cover their head or tie up their hairs and majority follows both...

in some previous episodes...when dhani's bangles fall off from her bag...raj mentioned how they are questioned on everything...that striked me too...dhani is never asked for anything...but the rest, raj swarna are asked for every details...it is much objectionable to me...ok i completely agree dhani is honest, dedicated and wise...but isn't she a human too?...can't she commit mistakes?...the blind faith on her created a biased opinion towards her...she is not objected when she take decisions on behalf of the whole ashram, that effect others severely...but people pointing this out are objected...

Indrani is a true inspiration...pure soul...have nothing against u..but this biasedness from dulaari is acceptable, as she is dhani's mother, but not from indrani...agree on dhani's qualities, but indrani have forgotten that not only she is a part of this family, but also the head of the group...for every problem, the first person, whom the group will look on is her..she needs to handle the group and guide them...so this biasedness is completely not acceptable for me...i strongly object this...and for dulaari...she really needs to come out of her buchiya raag..look and care for people around her other than buchiya and her head...

the bottom line is...i feel this biasedness sometimes acts like a fuel in the fire...this only triggers people like raj to oppose...its hard to accepted laws, when u r said to follow it strictly and flexibilities are given to others...just on the basis of different personalities, getting different treatment?..getting this just because someone is kept at a position where he/she can't be thought of committing a mistake?...forgetting that we all are humans only?...how can this be justified?...

About the hair thing.. I was wondering the same
And i totally get your POV.. Like a lot of times it is unfair and i think in this show Raj frequently brings up a lot of fair and valid points
I think at the end what they are trying to show is that because Dhaani always does things with good intentions, and never purposefully, she has a better character than Raj even if the outcomes from her actions are the same as Raj's

But then again no show is perfect. And IKRS is no different
It might also be that they are exploring the multiple dimension of a mother daughter relationship.. Like while on one hand a mother and daughter are inseperable the other is the weakpoint.
Where they cannot see each others faults and are blind in that sense

Hey pj
I m not saying anything regarding the show
Just discussing an aspect of a character

Secondly..its not that dulaari doesn't see her daughters fault..remember how she used to burst out on dhani in past..
Its just she pretends to b second in command nd still behaves rudely with others..

Great post, Roopal. There are some problems with double-standards, that is for sure. I like how you say that Dulari is a self appointed second-in-charge of the ashram.

Having said that, in some communities, recently widowed women are supposed to not oil or tie their hair for a year. After one year only they can tie it up or make plaits etc. Perhaps the CVs are trying to show that. I hope this helps.

True.. Dulaari is still a mystery to me .. Someone i havent figured out yet.. Actually many of the characters are still mysteries to me just because they are so human and are amazingly complex... I think time will tell
Im curious as to what role Dulaari will play in Viplav and Dhaani s love story... My gut tells me she wants to see her daughter happy but she is also going to be very upset ( like she was in earlier episodes)

I remember in the beginning episodes dulaari kept saying " for the last year ive tried to teach dhaani about being a widow"
So that would align with your observation...
Awww poor dhaani... Her wounds of the past are still so fresh
