Nisha sat there in a balcony looking outside .. she kept staring blankly at the sky.. her face was pale and she had tear marks on her face...
Suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder and she turned and hugged that person by wrapping her arms around his waist and started crying her heart out...
That person was her husband Kabir...
Kabir just kept soothing her hair and trying to calm her.. but how could he do it when he himself was completely broken...
"Nisha.. please shaant ho ja... please.. dekh aise mat ro Nisha.. main tujhe aise nahi dekh sakta..."
Kabir tried to hide his own emotions when he was trying to console her...
"Kabir aisa kyun hua... Kyun ?? Kyun kho diya humne usse...??"
Nisha was not ready to listen to him... she just couldn't control her tears...
*Flash back *
Nisha and Kabir were married for 6 months and almost 2 months ago Nisha came to know that she was pregnant.. Kabir was on cloud nine after hearing this... and he made sure that he took proper care of her..
He would not even let her get down of the bed when he was at home... he would pick her up in his arms if she had to go some where... He made sure that she didn't work at all... He kept a check on her diet ad everything...
Nisha was in her 3rd month of pregnancy and all cousins had come home to meet her because Kabir didn't allow her to step out of the house...
Kirti : Nishu tu kitni lucky hai ki Jiju teri itni care karte hai...
Nisha : Care toh theek hai Kirti but vo kuch zyada hi strict ban raha hai ...
Dolly : Oho Nishu.. he is right.. pregnancy ke first 3 months bohut crucial hote hai and tujhe aaise main apna dhyaan rakhna chahiye... Kabir bhi ache se janta hai kit u apna khayal nahi rakhne wali iss liye vo tera khyaal rakhta hai...
Nisha : Abh usski taree karna bas bhi karo...
Kabir came with a tray of snacks for everyone and heard Nisha..
Kabir : Kiski tareef ho rahi hai ?
He kept started serving snacks to everyone without looking at Nisha
Nisha : Teri aur kiski...
Kabir : Oho.. kya baat hai.. Waise...
He was about to say something but suddenly he looked at Nisha and saw that Nisha's face started turning pale and she clutched her stomach tightly...He panicked seeing her like this and he ran and sat next to her on the bed..
Kabir : Nisha kya hua.. ?
Nisha had started sweating now.. she closed her eyes tightly trying to hide her pain... everyone got worried seeing her like this...
Kabir cupped her face and said..
Kabir : Nisha .. kya hua.. bol na ... Nisha...
All Nisha could do was clutch her stomach tightly and scream in pain... Kabir couldn't take it anymore..
He asked Sukku to get the car and they took her to the hospital as soon as possible... The doctor looked at Nisha and understood what was wrong they took Nisha in the operation theatre making Kabir and others more worried...
Everyone closed their eyes and started praying for Nisha and her child's safety...
After an hour or so the doctor came out and Kabir ran to her...
Kabir : Doctor.. Nisha kaisi hai.. aur humara baby.. dono theek hai na.. ?
Doctor didn't say anything and just looked down... Kabir's eyes grew wide in horror as the doctor's silence spoke everything ...he fell on his knees and started crying...
Umesh,Sukku and Saurav came to him but even they couldn't do anything for him... he kept crying and yelling... The doctor asked him to control himself as he was in the hospital and it would disturb other patients...
Umesh apologized and somehow managed to make Kabir sit on the chair... Kabir caught his hand and started crying again...
After a few minutes he saw that the ward boys were shifting Nisha in another room... as soon as he saw Nisha he stood up and stopped crying... he knew that he had to be strong .. not for his sake but for Nisha's sake...
He asked the cousins to leave and as they needed to go home and tell everyone about this and he would take care of Nisha.. without arguing everyone left as they knew that at this time only Nisha and Kabir can console themselves as well as eachother...
Kabir entered Nisha room and saw that she was sleeping... He sat on the stool that was kept besides the bed.. He took her hand in his hand and his other hand involuntarily cherished her stomach...
He didn't realise when he started crying again... this time he cried more harder as he knew what Nisha would feel when she comes to know about this...
Nisha finally opened her eyes.. all she remembered was that she had a terrible ache in her stomach.. she placed her hand on her stomach and touched Kabir's hand... that is when Kabir realised that Nisha had woken up... Nisha was shocked too see Kabir crying like this...
"Kabir tu ro kyun raha hai ?Aur main yahan kya kar rahi hun ?"
Nisha asked him ... she was scared... he was cherishing her stomach and crying... Nisha placed her hand on her stomach as if she tried to feel something but she felt nothing...she felt horrified... she caught Kabir's hand and started begging infront of him...
"Kabir.. Kabir please kuch bol na... Kabir mujhe daar lag raha hai.. Kabir humara baby.. mujhe kuch feel kyun nahi ho raha Kabir.. Kabir bol na kuch please..."
She cried infront of him and begged him to say the truth... Kabir sat on the bed and hugged her tightly...
"Nisha vo chala gaya.. chod gaya hume... "
Kabir's words pricked Nisha's heart as sharp as knife... she felt her body go numb... she sat there like a statue...
Kabir realised that Nisha was not reciprocating the hug.. he broke the hug and looked at her... he understood that she was in a state of terrible shock... but before he could say anything the entire Gangwal family came there... Laxmi came to Nisha and hugged her tighly and cried but Nisha didn't cry neither did she hugged her back... Ramesh came to Kabir and effulged him in his arms letting him cry his heart out...
After Kabir had cried in his father's arms he went to the doctor and asked her is he could take Nisha home...
All the while Nisha behaved like a statute ...and Kabir's heart broke seeing her like that...
It was night by the time they had returned home... he took her to the bed and made her sleep on the bed.. he came and slept next to her.. He wrapped his arms around Nisha and she snugged into him clutching his T-shirt.. both knew that sleep was away from them tonight.. they both lay there in each other's arms crying to their hearts content...
*Flashback ends*
Kabir kept soothing her hair until her cries subsidized... He broke the hug and knelt infront of her...
He cupped her face and said ..
"Nisha... tujhe kisne kaha ki humne usse kho diya.. vo aaj bhi hai humare saath.. usske hone ka ehsaas hamesha humare saath rehga..."
Nisha didn't say anything and got up she went inside a small room and switched on the lights... The room was filled with number of soft toys, cars, balloons etc...
She went and sat on the bed which had a cartoon bedsheet on it... she cherished the bedsheet and smiled sadly.. she took a teddy bear in her hands and showed it to Kabir...
"Kabir.. humne kitna kuch socha tha aur abh... " she couldn't complete her sentence and she started to cry again.. Kabir rushed to her and took her in his arms..
"Nisha.. bas kar... kyun ro rahi hai itna..? main janta hun kya beet rahi hai tujh pe.. par Nisha... iss tarah ro kar kya vo wapas aajayega ??"
Nisha looked at him trying to understand what he was trying to say...
Kabir cupped her face and said
"Nisha.. hum usse wapas apni zindgi main la sakte hai ... ."
Fresh tears started to form in her eyes now.. she hugged him ...
"Kabir.. main usse apni life main wapas lana chahti hun... "
Kabir finally let his own tears flow now...
" Hum usse wapas laayenge Nisha..aur iss baar hum usse kahi nahi jane denge .. Mera wada hai yeh "
He kissed the top of her head and made a promise that he will bring the symbol of their love in this world again...
Dil main bohut dard hai mere.. usse aaj banyan karna hai...
Lazboon se jo na keh sakenge.. aansuoon se usse kehna hai...
Chahe jo ho halat saath honge hum.. yeh wada tujh se karna hai..
