Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani 31 August 2015 Written Update

Ranaji is stunned seeing Sulakshana's bangle on Gayatri's hand & recalls their meeting in temple where he gave that bangle to Gayatri unaware of her real identity. He feels angry thinking she is the same girl he keeps bumping into. KuvarUncle looks at the Hitman Dilawar who is trying to aim at Ranaji. Rajpurohitji tells Rajmata, the rituals cannot be declared complete till Ranaji doesnt see bride's face. So Ranaji sees Gayatri's face in mirror reflection. He gets furious and lifts her veil to see her face clearly. While Gayatri feels shy & happy, Ranaji is stunned to find she is the same girl he kept bumping into and recalls their previous encounters. He glares angrily at her & thinks, they played with me and my heart. The father-daughter duo trapped me. Never thought that this pretty face covers an ugly heart. But today the truth came out and I'll never be able to forgive you for this deceit. Hitman is still trying to target Ranaji but Rajmata is standing inbetween. She asks Ranaji to exchange the ring with Gayatri. His hands are shivering in rage and he drops the ring on floor. Everyone gets shocked and starts looking for the ring.

KuvarUncle fumes as to why Dilawar isnt firing gunshot at Ranaji. Dilawar keeps changing his position but is unable to take aim as people keep moving looking for the ring on floor. Ranaji keeps glaring angrily at Gayatri. She is tensed due to ring going missing. She spots the ring on floor and points to it saying aloud "there it is!" Her veil falls from her head during this. She is happy having found the ring but others are unhappy seeing her head uncovered. She realizes it and covers her head. Yashoda picks the ring up and gives to Rajmata. Rajmata asks Ranaji to put the ring on Gayatri's finger. He glares at her so she tells him to not look at her for everything as he is going to get married. He takes the ring from her and holds Gayatri's hand tightly & roughly. She feels hurt and looks at Ranaji. He is angry & puts the ring in her finger & leaves her hand roughly. Everyone clap. Gayatri adjusts the ring in her finger and looks at the ring happily. KuvarUncle motions the hitman to shoot Ranaji.

Next Rajpurohitji asks Gayatri to put ring on Ranaji's finger. GovindSeth gives the ring to Gayatri. She feels overwhelmed. Ranaji clenches his fist in anger. He recalls happy moments with Sulakshana. Reluctantly, he extends his finger & Gayatri puts the ring on his finger. Thunderous applause follows. Ranaji again clenches his fist in fury. KuvarUncle is fuming at hitman. Rajpurohitji asks the bride & groom to feed each other sweets. Ranaji glares at Rajmata. Both feed each other sweets. Gayatri looks at her ring & thinks, this ring is symbol of our love Ranaji. I shall forever be indebted to you for giving me place in your heart. Ranaji looks at her ring & thinks, this ring signifies your & your father's deception which I'll never forget. Rajmata affectionately puts her hand on Ranaji's shoulder but he stops her angrily and leaves. KuvarUncle again motions the hitman to finish the job.

To make the aim easy for the hitman, KuvarUncle stops Ranaji. He sarcastically tells him that he always keeps thinking of his long life only and says, today is the day to end old stories. He hugs Ranaji and gestures the hitman. Ranaji senses something fishy in Uncle's act but hugs him. He then tries to leave. Hitman isnt able to aim so Uncle stops Ranaji again & offers him drink. He accepts it and leaves. Hitman still fails so Uncle gets furious at him.


Rajmata announces to begin the celebrations. She has called performers from Punjab specially for this occasion. A lady gifts Lord Shiv's idol to Gayatri. She looks at Ranaji & prays the God to protect her dreams & her family. The performers also call both Bhabhis for dance. They start dancing. Due to this Rajmata feels embarrassed. Ranaji leaves in anger. Gayatri enjoys watching the dance & starts clapping happily. This upsets Rajmata. She tells Yashoda that ordinary girl Gayatri is chosen to be queen but she needs be taught Royal etiquette. Ranaji consumes one peg after another, looking daggers at Gayatri. She watches him perplexedly and sadly.

A servant bumps into hitman standing in first floor balcony and the gun falls from his hand on ground floor. KuvarUncle gets tensed seeing this. He spots the gun under the chair on which Rajmata is sitting.


KuvarUncle is angry at the hitman and tells him that a wooden sword is only for children to play, it cannot be used to fight battles. He sarcastically asks him to see himself in mirror if he hasnt seen such wooden sword.

Rajpurohitji tells Rajmata to complete remaining rituals. She puts beautiful saree on Gayatri. Gayatri touches her feet & she blesses her. Seths minus Bhabhis are elated. GovindSeth gets emotional. Seeing his eyes moist, KuvarUncle taunts him to not worry as they will take care of his daughter and make her worthy of Royalty. He retorts that the Royalty will have to change themselves in order to become worthy of his virtuous daughter. Uncle smirks & leaves. Kokila rubs more salt on his wounds that today also he missed the target. She says, words pierce more than swords. Now wait and watch how I'll destroy them with my tongue.

Ranaji is livid and is drinking. He thinks truth always comes out. He comes to Gayatri and asks her to meet him outside in the garden. She thinks she'll have to go meet him as he has called her and feels nervous.


Kokila blows the lamp off in pooja thali and fakes fear in front of Rajmata. Everyone is shocked thinking it to be bad omen. A furious Ranaji tells Gayatri that this proposal, this engagement and this marriage is...
