Engagement Day

Rano: Have you woke up Geet, Ganga?

Ganga: Ma'am I tried...

Before Ganga could complete her sentence Rano uttered

Rano: what will I do with this girl. Its her special day and she is... Wait I will wake her up.. Till then Ganga do this thing

Rano went up and woke her up.

Rano: Geet wake up.

Rano saw her sprawled on the bed without the blanket. Her books everywhere and pen in her hand

Rano(selfthought) Looks like she slept while studying...

Rano: Geet wake up. It's already 11 in the morning... You have to go for the test as well...

Geet: hmmm Maa let me sleep already I couldn't because of the tension...

Rano: But Geet wake up. It's late already.

Geet: Hmmm

Rano went to her and caressed her curly mass of hair while Geet smiled in her sleep...

Rano was thinking something. Why wouldn't she. The only daughter is now very soon to be wedded. This time is special for the whole family.

Geet opened her one eye...

Geet knew what her mom was thinking. Getting all emotional.

Geet: Maa why are you getting emotional on this day... It's just the engagement day. I am here till the wedding date is announced and winked at her... Aur rahi baat milne ki to Maan hai na... I will promise him before engagement that he has to bring me home whenever I please...and winked again

Rano laughed at that and smacked at her...

Rano: Aaj kal bara Maan Maan kar rahi hai...

Geet giggled at that.

Rano: Haa Ha kyun nahi juro ka ghlama jo bane ga na tumhara... Har kehna maney ga... Beta zindagi aiasey nahi guzarti... Kabhi apni baat manwane parti hai aur kabhi doosroy ki maani parti hai.

Geet rolled her eyes, got up and went to washroom to freshen up.

Rano: What will she do after getting married...Responsibility naam kay laafz say bhi door bhagti hai...Shadi aisay thori hoti hai.

Rano shacked her head while organising her daughter's room

After some time Geet's time to leave came. Mohinder came to the door to wish her best of luck. While Dadi and other relatives had a frown on their faces. Obviously it was the day girl was getting engaged and was not suppose to step outside. But here Geet was to be out and had to reach directly to the venue.

Mohinder: Best of luck beta! Rano has kept everything in the car. The driver will drop you and your stuff to the parlor and after your test and come back to us as it will take you 2-3 hours to get ready ... Because you know it's marriage house and there a lot of errands.

Geet nodded.

Mohinder: Then I will send him back hmmm

Geet went to the car and started off her journey.

Meanwhile in Khuranna Mansion, everyone was busy as hell. Maan and Ram had to go to office for some important meeting. While Meera was handling other stuff. Maan had to straight away come to the venue while Ram would come early and help Meera and then proceed to the venue.

Geet test started and she confidently answered all the questions. She was now sure that she will succeed. But she didn't knew that she was heading towards a problem in a few hours.

Hmm... so sorry for disappearing again and for short update. But you see.. a small one is still better than none... Will update again, along one tomorrow. Working on it.

Short n sweet update

Awesome update. This is engagement day. Geet also has to go for test and reach directly to the venue. Maan also has to reach directly to the venue after an urgent meeting. Test has gone well.
