Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan has taken an interesting twist. Lakshmi comes to know the truth about Karan when he discloses that their marriage was a deliberate strategy to destroy the Goradia family. We found some similarities in the current track of the serial and the SRK blockbuster Baazigar.

In Betiyaan, Karan (Faisal Khan) comes to Goradia house as their so called saviour and does a lot of good for the family while is Baazigar, Ajay (SRK) comes to Madan Chopra's house and impresses him.

In the serial, the condition of Karan's family is similar to Ajay's. Like in the film, in the serial too Karan's mother doesn't recognize him as she is terminally ill.

Karan's mother goes to the Goradia house and pleads with them to take her husband back in the job after false allegations are leveled against him. But, like in the film, she too is ill-treated.
Similarity 4
In Baazigar, the child SRK pledges to take revenge of his father's death at his funeral pyre. Karan too does the same in Betiyaan
However, we found some dissimilarities too
Difference 1
Karan's aim is to take away Goradia family's property. In Baazigar, Ajay wants to get back his property that was taken away from his father by forged means.

Karan pretends to fall in love with Lakshmi while in Baazigar, Vicky (SRK) takes the longer route first pretending to fall in love with his elder sister Seema (Shilpa Shetty)

In Baazigar, Vicky loves Priya but Karan doesn't love Lakshmi. He confesses that it was a well thought out plan
Difference 4
In Betiyaan, Karan is going to torture Lakshmi very badly which never happened in Baazigar.
