Can himesh sings like AR rahman

Can himesh sing like AR rahman or nusrat fateh ali..or rafi sahab in his nasal voice NO.......................so why expect this poor contestant to sing in diff kinds.....they all have their individual voice and choice..judge them on basis of technnicality not versatility..cause only technicality will help in future whatever genra they chose to pursue their carrier

EXACTLLY HR is saying this from very begining.and he is fighting from begining on this issue. b'coz everybody has his own tonel quality. Sundhi chauhan cannot sing in Lataji's voice.Even Ashabhonsle has to wait for years to prove her versatility.

Everyone has a limitation no matter how good they are. Poor Mauli Babe ( Bappi's Darling) got eliminated when asked to sing all kind of unheard numbers. She was a rocker not a Ghazal artiste 😭 😭

i agree. remember when she sang ali more angana.. vishal said " you have proved that you cannot only sing item songs but others too" you 😡cause of YOU😡she had to go through that terrible time...and her Bashers. NO COMMENTS😉

U need to change the topic head .Why blame HR.He was also trying to put across this same pointof view that contestants shd sing in their genre.

excuse me, but whether its lataji, ashaji, rafisaab or kishoreda or any other legend that you are talking about, they all have sung all type of songs .... they were NOT genre singers as is being made out here .....

the so called "genre singing" is more prevelant among the singers of today because of sheer lack of talent and training !!! even today we have a sonu nigam and shreya ghosal who belong to the old school of the legends and are true singers !!!

as far as HR is concerned, to call him a singer even wud be an insult to singing .... its more his music than his singing that has to do with his success ..... he is NOT a singer !!! its only catchy tunes with repetitive words that have caught the frenzy of a particular segment of "music lovers" whose attention span is like 1 sec ..... HR music is only suitable for autorickshaws and to blared at discos where u dont need to listen wht is being sung u just need something hammering your ears .... its precisely becos of this reason that HR has till date not got any A-grade film for music compostion .... and he wont get any in the future either now that he insists on being taken as the hero 😆 😆 😆

The point of a singing competition is to find a winner that demonstrates brilliant hold and power in each genre. That doesn't mean that he/she has to be perfect, but rather that although they may be average in some genres, they will slowly learn to excel in that genre. Using versatility as a factor puts all the singers on one line, and makes an easy way of comparison. After they learn to prove their versatility, when they have established as singers in the industry, then they may choose whatever genres they want to pursue their career in. If the versatility factor is eliminated then that will create great havoc in a competition. We'll have singers like Mauli, who sing only fast upbeat Mayya Mayya numbers, and Mussarat, who excels in NFAK songs, and probably has the best Sanware rendition ever. Now, we need to have a final round between the two, what do you suggest happens? Should people who like fast numbers vote for Mauli and people who like classical songs vote for Mussarat? That defeats the whole purpose of a singing competition. Vishal's issue on versatility was completely correct, however, the flaw in his ideas was that he only chose to point fingers at a few singers, and did not raise the question every time. And now his attitude is that why should he make Raja prove his versatility when HR doesn't give a 'roti' for it? 😉
